What material is the wire rope?
Question 1: What is the steel wire of the steel wire rope? According to the different materials of wire rope core, it can be divided into hemp rope, wire rope, natural fiber wire rope and synthetic fiber wire rope. It has excellent corrosion resistance. Hemp core steel wire rope is often used in lifting operation, and the hemp core is soaked with lubricating oil to reduce the friction between strands and steel wire and prevent corrosion.

According to the number of strands and wires of steel wire rope, it can be divided into 6× 19, 6×37 and 6×6 1. The most commonly used wire ropes are 6× 19 and 6×37.

According to the different surface treatment of steel wire, it can be divided into smooth wire rope and plated bowl. Smooth steel wire ropes are often used in lifting operations.

According to the strand structure of steel wire rope, it can be divided into point contact rope, line contact rope and surface contact rope.

Except the central steel wire, each layer of point contact rope has the same diameter, and the strands are twisted in layers, and the steel wires cross each other to form point contact, so the contact stress is great when working, and the steel wires are easy to wear and break.

The wire contact stranded wire is formed by twisting steel wires with different diameters at one time. The steel wires in the steel strand are different in thickness, so the thin steel wire is placed in the groove of the thick steel wire, and the thick steel wire is in contact with the thick steel wire. Because the line contact wire rope is relatively dense, the breaking force of the wire rope with the same diameter is greater. The wire rope rotating in the same direction with the same diameter of the steel wire in the strand is also a line contact rope.

The inner steel wire of the surface contact rope has a special shape, and adopts special-shaped cross-section steel wire, and the steel wire is in surface contact. Its advantages are smooth appearance, good corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and being able to bear large lateral force. But it is expensive and can only be used in special occasions.

Special-shaped strand wire rope: Special-shaped strand wire rope is named because its strand section is triangular, elliptical or fan-shaped.

Galvanized steel wire rope: a steel wire rope made by galvanizing (or drawing after galvanizing) and twisting.

Steel wire rope can be divided into circular strand wire rope and irregular strand wire rope according to the form of strand section (mainly including triangular strand wire rope, elliptical strand wire rope and fan-shaped strand wire rope). According to the surface state of steel wire (wire rope), wire rope can be divided into smooth wire rope, galvanized (zinc-aluminum alloy) wire rope and plastic-coated wire rope.

Question 2: What kinds of wire rope materials are there? There are stainless steel wire rope and carbon steel wire rope. Due to the long-term use of steel wire rope with hanging tag in parking lot, it is recommended to use stainless steel wire rope, which is beautiful and corrosion-resistant.

Question 3: What material should be used for wire rope? According to the different uses of wire rope, it is best to choose wire rods of different materials, but the smaller the content of harmful elements such as sulfur and phosphorus in wire rods, the less the materials. Much better. Generally speaking, the wire rods used for hoisting are SWRH72A, SWRH82A, etc. If the production is not important, the steel wire rope used in the occasion can also be selected: 50#, 55#, 60#, 65#, 70#, 75#, 80#, 84# and so on. LX70, LX80, LX90, etc. Used to produce ultra-high strength and ultra-fine wire rope.

Question 4: Is the wire rope made of Q235? Not necessarily. Mainly depends on what kind of wire rope you are. Have you hoisted the rope? What is its diameter? If it is used for hoisting, it is definitely not q235, and its strength is too small. Domestic steel wire ropes are generally 45#, 60#, 70# and 80#.

Question 5: What materials are commonly used for stainless steel wire ropes? That depends on where you use it. The general material is 20 1, 304, which is not anticorrosive and resistant to high temperature; Anticorrosion 3 16, high temperature 309s and 3 10s.

As for the spring wire, there are various materials. The key is to look at your needs. I use it according to the purpose.

Question 6: Does the steel wire rope belong to the category of metal materials? Metal materials are divided into ferrous metals and nonferrous metals. Billet belongs to ferrous metal. Copper and copper alloys, aluminum and aluminum alloys are all nonferrous metals.

Question 7: Where can I buy the main varieties of wire ropes?

1. Phosphating coated steel wire rope (China patent). The steel wire rope is phosphatized by manganese series or zinc-manganese series, and the surface of the steel wire is very wear-resistant, which effectively inhibits fretting wear. It is an upgraded product of smooth steel wire rope, and its service life in atmospheric environment is far longer than that of smooth steel wire rope with the same structure, including steel wire rope imported from Germany, Japan and other developed countries (phosphating rope is about 3 times of smooth steel wire rope at present, and it may be greatly improved in the future, which can be verified and compared by fatigue test). The thickness of phosphating film is 3-60g/m2. After phosphating, the steel wire will not be pulled, and the steel wire will be twisted directly. Note-wire drawing phosphating and rope steel wire phosphating should not be confused). Foreign countries have innovated our country's wire rope. This innovative technology is suitable for almost all kinds of wire ropes, such as elevator wire ropes and important wire ropes.

2. Galvanized steel wire rope, including hot dip galvanizing and electro-galvanizing. The thicker the zinc layer, the longer the service time and the thinner the zinc electroplating. The thicker the zinc layer, the stronger the corrosion resistance. Because the phosphating film has certain corrosion resistance, manganese phosphating film steel wire rope can replace some varieties of thin galvanized steel wire rope, such as Grade B galvanized steel wire rope in GB89 18-2006.

3. Stainless steel wire rope, steel wire rope twisted with stainless steel wire, such as 304 or 3 16 stainless steel, is more expensive. Manganese phosphating film can also greatly prolong the service life of stainless steel wire (phosphating of stainless steel wire requires special phosphating formula).

4. Plastic coated steel wire rope: On the basis of high-quality carbon steel wire rope, the outer layer of steel wire rope or strand rope is coated with polyethylene or polypropylene.

5. 1834 British production, 1939 China Tianjin No.1 Wire Rope Factory production and use, with a large number of entering the market, will be completely replaced by phosphating coated wire rope.

The main raw materials for manufacturing steel wire rope are high-quality carbon steel wire rod, grease and hemp core. Wire rods are purchased from rolling mills and are produced by Shougang, Angang, Baosteel, Tiangang, Tangshan and Shagang. Sisal and hemp rope cores are purchased from hemp yarn factories in Guangxi or Hainan. This grease is specially used for steel wire rope. According to the choice of wire rope, it can be found online for reference only.

Question 8: What is the main material of wire rope? Thank you. Wire ropes can be divided into ordinary wire ropes and stainless steel wire ropes according to raw materials, among which stainless steel wire ropes are different according to different stainless steel materials.

Question 9: Classification of wire ropes Wire ropes can be classified according to their materials, surface conditions, twisting methods and uses. According to material classification 1. Carbon steel wire rope is made of high-quality carbon structural steel wire. 2. Stainless steel wire ropes manufactured and twisted with stainless steel wires are classified as 1 according to the surface state. Phosphating coated steel wire rope (China patent) is referred to as phosphating steel wire rope for short. The phosphating film of rope steel wire weighs 3-60g/m2. Steel strand, steel core and steel wire are directly twisted without cold drawing after phosphating. Phosphating film can improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of rope-making steel wire surface and effectively inhibit fretting fatigue. 2. Galvanized steel wire rope, including hot dip galvanizing and electro-galvanizing. The protection of galvanized layer on steel wire belongs to anodic protection, and the thicker the galvanized layer, the stronger the corrosion resistance. 3. Plastic-coated steel wire rope: the outer surface of steel wire rope or strand rope is coated with a certain thickness of plastic, including polyethylene, polypropylene, polyurethane, etc. 4. Smooth steel wire rope. After heat treatment and surface pretreatment, raw materials are cold drawn to obtain rope-making steel wire (note: during cold drawing, the phosphating film formed in the pretreatment process gradually falls off due to intense friction with the wire drawing die), and the steel wire is directly twisted into strands, steel cores and steel wires without any surface treatment. Production began in foreign countries 1834, and in Tianjin No.1 wire rope factory 1939, single strand, also known as single twist rope, was produced according to the method of wire rope twisting. Double twisted rope is made by twisting two strands of rope around the rope core (steel core or fiber core), which can twist one or more layers of steel wire. It is the most widely used steel wire rope. Three-twist rope is made by twisting two-twist rope around the rope core, which is mainly used for coarse wire ropes with a diameter greater than 60mm, such as offshore wire ropes. The marking method is as follows: A right alternate twist ZS: right twist of the rope, left twist of the strand, and the twist direction of the strand is opposite to that of the steel wire in the strand, which is called alternate twist B: left alternate twist of the strand SZ: left twist of the strand C: right twist of the strand ZZ: right twist of the strand and left twist of the strand D: left twist of the strand E and right mixed twist of the strand: right twist of some strands, left twist of some strands F:. ① Wire rope in point contact: the diameter of the steel wire in the strand is the same, and the twist angle of each layer of steel wire is the same, but the lay length is different, so the inner and outer steel wires cross each other and are in point contact. ② Line contact wire rope: The lay length of each layer of steel wire in the strand is different, and the inner and outer steel wires are in line contact with each other on a helix. Under the same service conditions, the service life of line contact wire rope is longer than that of point contact wire rope. (3) Compacted steel wire rope, originally called surface contact steel wire rope. In the process of wire rope twisting, after forging and drawing, contact surfaces are formed between steel wires, including strand compaction, wire rope compaction and strand double compaction. ④ Sealed steel wire rope: the outer layer is made of special-shaped steel wire, including steel wire with T-shaped S-shaped Z-shaped cross-section structure, with smooth surface and good wear resistance. Compared with other types of steel wire rope with the same diameter, it has higher tensile strength and can withstand lateral pressure, but it has poor flexibility, complicated technology and high manufacturing cost, and is often used as a load-bearing cable, such as the cable on cable cranes and aerial ropeways.

Question 10: The steel wire rope for crane is generally made of high-quality carbon structural steel wire rod with steel grade 45-80, which is drawn into steel wire after sorbitization and then twisted. This process is called smooth wire rope. Phosphating wire rope technology is a new patented technology. Phosphating treatment of rope-making steel wire forms phosphating film, which makes the surface of steel wire more wear-resistant. The phosphatized steel wire rope is directly twisted without drawing, and its service life is much longer than that of smooth steel wire rope, which is for reference only.
