Father Dharma's birthday is the fifth day of the tenth lunar month.

Bodhidharma, a southern Indian, was a Buddhist monk in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, referred to as Dharma or Dharma for short. According to "Continued Biography of Monks", South Indians belong to Kashatri caste and are highly respected by people who practice meditation. During the Northern Wei Dynasty, they talked about Zen in Luoyang and Songshan. At that time, they praised and criticized his Zen.

His works include six volumes, such as Ode to Heart Sutra, Theory of Deformity, Two Kinds of Entrances, Relieving Mind, Theory of Understanding, and Theory of Blood, as well as Absolute View of Dharma Monks, Theory of Mindless Interpretation of Dharma, and View of Zen Master of Dharma in Southern Tianzhu. Most of them are entrusted by later generations, and their disciples are wise.

Personality influence

From the data unearthed in Dunhuang, it seems that only the theory of "two advances and four lines" is the real Buddhist thought among many works circulated as Buddhist theory since ancient times. In Tang Jingjue's Biography of the Lenga Master, there is: "A brief analysis of the four lines of Mahayana entering the Tao", which was written by Lin Tan, a disciple of Buddhism. According to Lin Tan's preface, he integrated Dharma's words and deeds into a book. Dharma wrote a book called Linga Essentials for meditation audience, also known as On Dharma. These two papers were logical and neat, and they were very popular at that time.

There are also the absolute view of Dharma monks unearthed in Dunhuang, the interpretation of Dharma's unintentional view, the Dharma view of Zen master in Nantianzhu (Mahayana theory), other papers on Buddhism collected in the upper and lower volumes of Zen master carved in Beidou Temple in North Korea, and the school magazine Shao Shi Art Book published in Suzuki Teitaro Daisetz, Japan.
