According to the needs of basic education curriculum reform and students' self-development, the school has set up bilingual education theory and bilingual education skills courses, becoming the only normal school in China to implement bilingual teaching experiments. At the end of April, 2004, at the national seminar on bilingual teaching held by East China Normal University, Jinan Normal University's bilingual teaching experience was well received by the participating experts and became one of the five institutions specially recognized by the meeting.
