The second research direction of this subject is the study of French literature and culture. Professor Liu Chengfu, the academic leader, 1994 received the doctorate of Paris VII. Professor Liu Chengfu is currently the vice-president and secretary-general of China Africa Research Association, the director of China French Teaching Research Association and the executive director of Jiangsu Foreign Literature Research Association. In 2006, he was selected into the "New Century Excellent Talents Support Plan" of the Ministry of Education and the "333 High-level Talents Training Project" of Jiangsu Province. He has published more than 40 academic papers successively, and undertaken the research of the Tenth Five-Year Plan of Humanities and Social Sciences Research of the Ministry of Education, the research of French' anti-literature' in the 20th century, the research of national social science fund, cultural identity and the research of French modern and contemporary literature. His scientific research project "Research on French' New Fiction'" won the 200 1 National Association for Teaching and Research of Foreign Literature Series Award for Excellence; Research on French Modernist Literature in the 20th Century won the first prize of research achievements in humanities and social sciences of Nanjing University. His representative papers Variation of Literary Ontology —— A New Perspective of Modern and Contemporary French Literature and On Intertextuality of Sartre's Literary Creation were quickly reprinted by the National People's Congress after they were published in important domestic journals, and the research monograph "Research on French" Anti-literature "in the 20th century was widely praised by the academic circles after it was published. In addition, the study of Duras by Huangdi and the study of Rousseau's virtue thought by Huang Xiaoyan also have obvious characteristics.
The third research direction of this subject is French linguistics and semiotics. Professor Zhang, an academic leader, has a deep research on semiotics. He has published important academic papers such as Appoche Semilogique de la Tradition and Les Signes Social UX et Leur Tradition in international academic journals such as French Translation Forum and Canadian Meta, especially making fruitful research on roland barthes's semiotic literary theory. He has successively undertaken the Ninth Five-Year Plan project of Jiangsu Social Sciences "Barthes' literary theory research" and the humanities and social sciences research project of Nanjing University "French literary theory research", and undertaken the Tenth Five-Year Plan project of Jiangsu Social Sciences "Semiotics and Literature". Associate Professor Yu Xiuying, 1998, received a doctorate in linguistics from the University of Paris VIII. Up to now, many papers have been published in important journals at home and abroad, such as "On Language Features and Human Behavior" and "De l'un au multiple", which formed characteristics in the study of French linguistic schools in the 20th century. As the first cooperative researcher in the Tenth Five-Year Plan of Social Sciences in Jiangsu Province, he undertook the research task of the sub-project "French Linguistics School in the 20th Century". In 2006, Professor Zhang was awarded the "Palm Education Medal" by the French government for his outstanding contribution in spreading and developing French language and culture.
