To do a good job in network operation management and fault diagnosis, we must improve the level of fault diagnosis, seriously study the relevant network technology theory, understand the network structure design, be familiar with common diagnostic tools, and accurately describe the fault phenomenon. The following is the paper I shared about computer network fault diagnosis and elimination. Welcome to read the reference.
Computer network fault diagnosis is an important technical work in computer network management. Solving network faults can give full play to the role of the network. This paper mainly introduces the judgment steps of computer network faults and several troubleshooting strategies.

I. Introduction
With the development of computer network, the connection between networks becomes more and more complicated, and the failure of computer network is inevitable. The purpose of network fault diagnosis is to determine the location of network fault and restore the normal operation of the network.
Second, the computer network fault judgment step
(1) First check whether the network card is normal. Each network card has an LED indicator, which is usually located on the back of the main chassis. The green light indicates that the connection is normal, and some green lights and red lights should be on. A red light indicates that the connection is faulty, and a non-bright light indicates that there is no connection or the line is blocked. According to the size of the data stream, the indicator light will blink fast and slow. Under normal circumstances, when data is not transmitted, the indicator light of the network card flashes slowly, and when data is transmitted, it flashes quickly.
(2) Whether the jumpers and network cables connecting computers and other network devices are unblocked. The faults of network connection usually include internal breakage of network cable, twisted pair, poor contact of RJ-45 crystal head, etc., which can be detected by line detector. Also check whether the RJ-45 connectors on both sides are inserted correctly and whether the information socket is faulty.
Third, troubleshooting strategies for computer network connectivity
(1) failed to confirm the connection.
When there is a network application failure, such as being unable to access the Internet, first try to use other network applications, such as looking for other computers in the network or browsing the web pages in the local area network. What if other network applications can be used normally, such as not being able to access the internet, but can be used in? Online neighbors? Find other computers in, or you can ping other computers, which can eliminate the cause of connection failure. If other network applications cannot be realized, please continue the following operations.
(2) Look at the LED light to judge the network card failure.
First, check whether the indicator light of the network card is normal. Under normal circumstances, when data is not transmitted, the indicator light of the network card flashes slowly, and when data is transmitted, it flashes quickly. Whether it doesn't light up or it doesn't light up for a long time, it means there is a fault. If the network card indicator is not normal, you need to turn off the computer and replace the network card. For the indicator light of the hub, the indicators of all ports with network cables plugged in will light up. Because it is a hub, the indicator light can only indicate whether a terminal device is connected to the port, and cannot display the communication status.
(3) Determine whether it is the hub and twisted pair.
If it is determined that the network card and protocol are correct and the network is still blocked, it can be preliminarily concluded that it is the Hub and twisted pair. For further confirmation, another computer can use the same policy to make a judgment. If other computers are normally connected to this computer, the fault must be the interface between the previous computer and the Hub.
If it is determined that the hub is faulty, first check whether the indicator light of the hub is normal. If the interface light of the computer connected to the Hub before is not on, it means that the interface of the Hub is faulty (the indicator light of the Hub indicates the port where the network cable is plugged in, the indicator light is on, and the indicator light cannot display the communication status).
Through the above fault compression, we can judge that the fault is on the network card, twisted pair or hub.
Four, computer protocol troubleshooting strategy
Performance of (1) protocol failure
Protocol failures are usually manifested in the following situations:
① The computer cannot log on to the server.
Where is the computer? Online neighbors? You cannot see yourself or access other computers on the network.
3 Where is the computer? Online neighbors? You can see yourself and other members in, but you can't access other computers.
④ The computer can't access the Internet through the local area network.
(2) Failure analysis
There are usually two reasons for protocol failure:
① No protocol installed: NetBEUI protocol needs to be installed to realize local area network communication.
② Incorrect protocol configuration: TCP/IP protocol involves four basic parameters, including IP address, subnet mask, DNS and gateway. Any one of these settings is incorrect, which will lead to failure.
(3) elimination step
When the computer has the above-mentioned protocol fault, the following steps should be taken to locate the fault:
① Check whether the computer is equipped with TCP/IP and NetBEUI protocols. If not, it is recommended to install these two protocols, configure TCP/IP parameters, and then restart the computer.
② Use the ping command to test the connection with other computers.
Three inches? Constraint panel? what's up Network? Properties, click? File and print * * * Enjoy? Button, enjoy in the pop-up file and print * * *? Check the dialog box to see if it is selected. Allow other users to access my files? And then what? Allow other computers to use my printer? Check box, or one of them. If not, please select all or one. Otherwise, you will not be able to share folders with * * *.
(4) After the system restarts, double click? Online neighbors? , other computers and * * * shared resources in the network will be displayed.
Five, computer configuration troubleshooting strategy
Performance and Analysis of (1) Configuration Failure
Configuration failures are more often manifested in the inability to achieve various services provided by the network, such as the inability to access a computer. Therefore, before modifying the configuration, the original configuration must be recorded and backed up. Configuration failures usually show as follows: ① computers can only communicate with some computers but not all computers; ② The computer cannot access any other equipment.
(2) Configure troubleshooting steps
First, check the configuration of the failed computer. If an error is found, modify it, and then test whether the corresponding network service can be realized. If no errors are found, or the corresponding network services cannot be realized, we need to test whether other computers in the system have similar faults. If there is a similar fault, the reason lies in network equipment, such as Hub. On the other hand, check the accessed computers and carefully check the services provided by the accessed computers.
Ending of intransitive verbs
To do a good job in network operation management and fault diagnosis, we must improve the level of fault diagnosis, seriously study the relevant network technology theory, understand the network structure design, be familiar with common diagnostic tools, and accurately describe the fault phenomenon.
