The main body of the article is divided into four parts: the origin of the word "Yi Yue" in Shuowen. According to previous studies, the word "Yi Yue" in Shuowen has its original meaning. Later generations supplemented Shuowen according to other dictionaries; Later generations also adopted other statements when collating different versions of Shuowen. As far as the content is concerned, the style of "Yi Yue" in Shuowen can be roughly divided into three parts: one is the analysis of the font, the other is the interpretation of pronunciation, and the third is the interpretation of the meaning. The glyph structure of a word has different analysis, and Shuowen is listed as "Yi Yue". Here, this paper points out the gains and losses of the analysis of Shuowen. Some analyses in Shuowen are consistent with the structure of ancient Chinese characters in unearthed materials, which shows that Shuowen's explanation of Xiaozhuan is well-founded. First, different pronunciations represent different meanings. Different interpretations of the meaning of words account for the largest proportion and the most complicated content in Shuowen. According to the specific connotation of "Yi Yue", this paper divides it into two categories: (1) "Yi Yue" refers to different names of the same thing; (2) "Yi Yue" has different meanings, that is, one word represents two different meanings. It can also be divided into the following categories: 1 and "January" have nothing to do with the original meaning. 2. "January" represents the extended meaning of Chinese characters. 3. "Yi Yue" represents the borrowing meaning of Chinese characters, which can be divided into two types: loanwords without words and loanwords with words. 4. Use "Yi Yue" to refer to dialects.
