What are the meanings of monographs, compilations and works? What is the difference? Thank you!
Monographs refer to works in which the author makes in-depth research on a certain problem, which has a high academic level and certain creativity.

Compilation refers to a new work formed by arranging, adding, deleting, combining or arranging other people's works. Strictly speaking, compilation belongs to assembly work.

Works refer to expressing opinions, knowledge, thoughts and feelings in words.

Difference: monographs belong to creative works; Compilation is a kind of compilation work; Works refer to creative articles.

Monographs, Chinese vocabularies and Chinese Pinyin are called zhuān zhù, which refers to a special research topic and is another name for works. According to the length of academic papers, it can be divided into three types: single academic paper, series academic papers and academic monographs. Generally speaking, 40,000-50,000 words or more can be called academic monographs.

Compilation, a way of writing, basically belongs to compilation.

A way of writing is basically a statement written from an independent point of view or supplemented by some personal research and findings. A manuscript without a unique opinion statement should not be judged as a compilation. (Excerpted from Liu Jianming's Dictionary of Public Opinion, Economic Daily Press, p. 727)

Editing and editing are all creative acts recognized by copyright law, but the degree of originality and creative results are different. The originality of the book is the highest, producing absolute original works; Editors have the lowest originality and produce deductive works; Editing is in between (compilation is similar to editing, but slightly less original than editing).

If the author's work is not based on any existing work, then the author's creative behavior can be regarded as. A written work can have an appropriate number of citations, but it must indicate the source and original author. If the quotation in the author's work constitutes a substantial use of the existing work, or contains the elements of collecting or rewriting the existing work, the author's creative behavior should be regarded as compilation.

The works are all Chinese words, pinyin Zhu Zuo. According to ancient requirements, "works" refer to creative articles. Articles or books that have not been elaborated or recorded by predecessors and appear for the first time are regarded as "works". Because it is aimed at a specific subject, it is also called a "monograph".

The writing styles of the ancients can be roughly divided into three categories: works, compilation and copying.

The so-called "compilation" is an article refined and produced on the basis of many existing materials. This is "editing", just like "adaptation" now.

"Works", formerly known as "works"; "Compilation" was called "narration" in ancient times. Confucius's "words are not full of meaning" strictly distinguishes these two styles.

"Copying and compiling" is the compilation of data, which was called "Lun" by the ancients. The original word of "Lun" should be "Lun", which means to arrange and weave a series. For example, the Analects.

Writing essentials

1, explaining the reasons for asking for instructions in detail and accurately. Not only should it be clearly written in the title, but it should also be clearly stated in the text that you have any questions to ask for instructions and why you should ask for instructions from your superiors. For instructions, write a special article so that the superior can reply in time.

2, clearly put forward the opinions of this unit to solve this problem, for reference. Opinions should be written in a reasonable and well-founded manner, and existing relevant policies and regulations can be cited when necessary. If the opinions of the unit are different, the contents of different opinions should be stated separately, analyzed and compared, and the tendentious opinions should be put forward for the superior to weigh the answers.
