Thesis outline has the following three main functions for our thesis writing:
(1) Help us collect and sort out the information.
(2) Provide the scope of data collection and guide the way of reading data.
(3) provide clues to collect materials as a reference for taking notes.
The writing method of thesis outline:
When drawing up an outline, you can first list all the key points according to your personal point of view, and then fill in the missing parts with reference to the collected information. At this time, all the materials are still in disorder, so we must rearrange them and divide them into levels. Which is more important and which is less important? What needs to be proved before explanation? Then according to the time sequence, regional differences, transaction nature, etc. , are logical classification, classification, hierarchical.
1, outline comments
First of all, you need to sort out your reading notes and reassemble them into arguments to support your arguments, not those of the author you read. According to the arranged reading notes, you can integrate countless details into various topics, and each topic will return to the main points of the full text. We can use all kinds of digital symbols to arrange them separately, so that the full text can be seen at a glance.

At the same time, when we write the outline of the paper, we must leave space so that we can add new outlines or delete unnecessary items at any time.
2. Preventive measures
The outline has two secrets:
First, we need to ask questions. In other words, ask why, what, when and how, and then write down the answers to these questions as the focus of the whole article.
Second, classify each problem into segments and then subdivide it into small segments.
Usually, there are two different ways for ordinary people to draw up an outline: one is to write a short headline, so that the whole article has a general outline as a guide, and then play it one by one according to personal opinions; Another way is to list all kinds of titles and subheadings in detail, list the issues you want to discuss under each item, and then find the information according to the details before writing. These two methods can be chosen according to personal interests and habits, or according to the nature of the paper.
Although the breakdown can help us to analyze different problems more systematically and hierarchically, it still needs the consistency between the breakdown and the close coordination with the theme to avoid contradictions or duplication. When you start writing an article, although you should collect information in the order of the outline and write it in turn, the outline is not static. When there is new information, we can still add and modify it at any time. As long as the whole article is organized, we have achieved the greatest goal of drafting an outline.
