Quanzhou School for the Blind and Deaf is located in this paradise across the sea from Taiwan Province Province. She grew up rapidly in inheritance and transcendence, devoted herself to the development of education for the disabled with the spirit of continuous innovation and enterprising, and quickly squeezed into the forefront of special education in China, becoming a banner of special education in our province. Quanzhou School for the Blind and Deaf was founded in the era of the rise of the Chinese nation. Formerly known as Mingzhitang School for the Blind, it was founded in 1895. With the growth and expansion of New China, it was renamed, closed, reopened and merged. From 65438 to 0996, Fujian School for the Blind merged with Quanzhou School for the Deaf, renamed Quanzhou School for the Blind and Deaf, and implemented the management system of "one team, two brands", which has now developed into a famous cradle of self-improvement in Haixi.

At present, the school covers an area of 75.3 mu, and the construction area of the new school building is 2 1.422 square meters. All buildings are built according to the standards and requirements of modern special education. At present, there are 30 classes (including deaf school 15 class and blind school 15 class), with 3 students15 and 84 faculty members. 1999 At the beginning of this year, Quanzhou social practice base for primary and secondary schools was completed and put into use. There are 38 outstanding teachers in the school who have won the advanced titles of the state, province and city, and 393 blind and deaf students have won good rankings in various competitions held by the state, province and city. There are 285 monographs, papers, experience summaries and research topics written by teachers published in various journals at all levels. The school was identified by the Ministry of Education and the China Disabled Persons' Federation as an experimental school to promote Chinese sign language. The school and social practice base have successively won the Excellent Group Award of China Citizen Moral Construction Demonstration Site, the Second China Youth Social Education Ginkgo Award, the National Green School, the National Demonstration Base of Earthquake Prevention and Disaster Reduction Education, the Fujian Civilized School, the Fujian Provincial School Moral Education Base, the Fujian National Defense Education Base, the Top Ten Advanced Professional Ethics Units in Quanzhou and two advanced basic work units in Quanzhou.
