Discussion on the development direction of urban rail train bogies

Abstract: With the rapid development of economic level and the continuous progress of society in China, the level of urbanization is also accelerating, and more people flock to cities, which leads to more and more serious urban congestion. Compared with conventional means of transportation, urban rail transit is welcomed by more people because of its advantages of energy saving, convenience and large passenger capacity, which are incomparable to other means of transportation. At present, the development of urban rail transit in China has entered a peak period. With the rapid development of urban rail transit, the safety of urban rail transit operation has also been widely concerned. Urban rail train system is very complicated, and bogie is one of the important parts of urban rail train, which plays an important role in the safety, comfort and speed of train operation. This paper mainly discusses the role of bogies in urban rail trains and how to ensure the safe operation of urban rail trains.

The safety of urban rail trains is the most concerned issue. Urban rail train is a very complicated system, and if there is a problem in one link, it will inevitably lead to serious consequences. Bogie is the most critical component of urban rail train, which bears huge gravity and repeated contact stress, and is prone to fracture and other problems. The research and test of urban rail bogies in China also started late. Therefore, the design and research of bogies is the key to meet the requirements of superior performance, high technical level and moderate price of urban rail trains.

1 Basic requirements for urban rail train bogies

1. 1 safety aspects

Safety performance is the first consideration of urban rail train bogies, and the operation of urban rail trains must reach a certain height in terms of safety. When designing bogies, it is necessary to ensure that the train operation limit is not exceeded, the wheel-rail impact is small, and the safety of train operation is fully considered. According to the relevant national safety standards for urban rail vehicles, the bogies of urban rail vehicles must meet the requirements of derailment coefficient, axle lateral force and wheel load reduction rate. In addition, when designing the bogie, the factors of the bogie itself should be considered, and all parts of the bogie must meet the design conditions and reach the design service life. The relevant standards of vibration comfort of railway vehicles can provide some reference. These standards also introduce the location and methods of vibration measurement, and have relevant provisions on the measurement methods and data required for evaluation. There are two evaluation methods.

Bogies in urban rail trains can be divided into power bogies and non-power bogies. Besides meeting the design standards, it should also meet the requirements of interchangeability. For example, for the same type of urban rail vehicles, all power bogies can be interchanged and all non-power bogies can also be interchanged. Power bogies and non-power bogies should be designed as the same structure as possible. In the same type of urban rail vehicles, the frames with the same function can be interchanged, and the motors and gearboxes of all power bogies can also be interchanged.
