Since 1980s, the research focus in the field of ethnology in China has shifted from the past social formation theory to the specific cultural phenomena and modernization process of each nation, and a number of applied achievements on national culture and social development have emerged. However, the research results on the social and cultural development and changes of Buyi people are still lacking, and there is a lack of in-depth investigation and theoretical research.
According to the fifth census, the population of Buyi nationality in China is 297 1460, which ranks tenth among the national minorities and is a relatively large ethnic group.
Buyi nationality is a minority with a long history. Living along the Hongshui River and the North and South Panjiang River in Guizhou for generations, it is a native of Guizhou.
In the process of long-term historical development, it has created rich and colorful material culture and spiritual culture, and formed a national culture with its own national characteristics passed down from generation to generation.
With the development of society, the change of system, the deepening of reform and opening up, the implementation of the strategy of developing the western region and the promotion of the current wave of economic globalization, the communication between the originally closed and backward Buyi society and the outside world is becoming more and more frequent, and all levels of social culture are also undergoing changes. Describing these cultural changes, excavating the deep-seated reasons of these changes, and analyzing and discussing the influence of these changes on the social culture of Buyi people have become an important topic in the study of Buyi people today.
On the basis of field investigation in Buyi inhabited areas, with the theories and methods of historical materialism and dialectical materialism as the fundamental guiding ideology, with the research results of cultural anthropology on changes and the relevant theories of history, culturology, folklore and ethnology as the theoretical basis, this paper uses the research methods of combining subject and object, macro and micro, and related historical documents to make a diachronic longitudinal comb of the representative cultural changes in the * * period.
This paper attempts to summarize the process and characteristics of the social and cultural changes of Buyi people, reflect on their gains and losses and reasons, in order to play a theoretical guiding role in the development and modernization of Buyi culture under the background of globalization, and hope that the research methods and paradigms in this paper can provide reference for studying the cultural changes of other ethnic minorities.
This paper is divided into eight chapters: the introduction part expounds the research purpose and significance of this paper, and introduces the research status and latest trends at home and abroad related to the topic selection. First, the research methods adopted in this study and the main ideas of paper writing.
The first chapter systematically introduces the theory of cultural change at home and abroad, summarizes the theory of cultural change, and introduces the theory of cultural change to be adopted in this paper.
The second chapter introduces the historical origin of Buyi nationality.
Buyi people are descendants of Shuicheng people, Cave-piercing people, Maomaodong people and Feihushan Neolithic people in the Paleolithic Age, and they are the main ethnic groups that established Guo Ke. After the Yelang era merged with Pu people and Yue people, it inherited the cultural characteristics of Pu people and Yue people and began to form a single ethnic Puyue (Buyi) people.
The third chapter first discusses the geographical environment and economic basis of Buyi's social culture, and on this basis, analyzes the deep structure and national personality of Buyi's culture by using the relevant theory of cultural model.
The fourth chapter introduces the changes of clothing, food, housing, transportation and leisure life of Buyi people in detail by showing vivid materials of field investigation, and further discusses the reasons for the changes.
The fifth chapter focuses on the social inheritance and integration system of Buyi people, namely, the characteristics and changes of traditional social organizations, officially designated administrative systems, rural rules and regulations, marriage and family.
The sixth chapter introduces the historical evolution of ethnic education in Buyi areas, studies the existing problems, analyzes the factors restricting development, and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to solve the problems.
The seventh chapter makes a theoretical analysis of the social and cultural changes of Buyi people, mainly summarizing the stages, manifestations and motivations of the changes.
The eighth chapter puts forward its own opinions and suggestions on how to develop Buyi culture in the process of modernization.
It is believed that in the process of constant change, national culture should actively sublate itself, selectively absorb foreign cultures and realize the interaction between different cultures, thus forming a new and progressive national culture and truly realizing the modernization and globalization of national culture.
