From 65438 to 0986, Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences sent a medical team headed by Professor Meihua to support the health cause in Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and set up the Shenzhen Medical Center of Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences. 1997 upgraded to Shenzhen Urology Hospital of Sun Yat-sen Medical University. In the same year, Professor Zhuang Guanglun of Sun Yat-sen Medical University, the "father of IVF in China", founded the first IVF center in Shenzhen, which was also one of the first reproductive medical centers approved by the health department to implement assisted reproductive technology, providing the first and second generation IVF technical services for Shenzhen citizens. In 2003, due to the merger of Sun Yat-sen University and Sun Yat-sen Medical University, the hospital was restructured and renamed Shenzhen Zhongshan Urology Hospital. In 2009, with the support of Shenzhen Municipal Government, the hospital was moved from Luohu to Futian Central District, and the conditions for running a doctor were obviously improved. Scientific research innovation
The hospital began exploratory research on reproductive immunology in 2006, and formally established a reproductive immunology outpatient center on 20 10 to analyze the causes of repeated abortion and repeated embryo implantation failures and explore clinical intervention programs. Scientific research in our hospital adheres to the concept of "scientific research originates from clinic and serves clinic", and carries out applied basic research and prospective clinical research around the practical problems faced by clinic in order to realize accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients. In recent 10 years, our hospital has successively established Shenzhen Zhongshan Institute of Reproduction and Genetics, Shenzhen Key Discipline (Group)-Reproductive Laboratory, postdoctoral innovative practice base, Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Perinatal Reproductive Immunity, Shenzhen "Three Medical and Health Projects" and Guangdong Perinatal Reproductive Immunity Engineering Technology Research Center. He has undertaken 56 national, provincial and municipal scientific research projects, with research funding of nearly 30 million yuan, published 465 scientific research papers, including nearly 60 SCI papers, and authorized national invention and utility model patents 18.
