* Do not use pigments containing lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), arsenic (As) and hexavalent chromium (Cr), and do not use toxic and harmful solvents and additives containing aromatic hydrocarbons, halides, phenols and aldehydes.
* There is no adverse effect on production workers in the production process (there is no toxic and harmful dust, gas and smell in the production workshop).
* The discharge of "three wastes" in the living room has been tested by the environmental protection department and meets the requirements of discharge standards.
* Coating is nontoxic and harmless to construction personnel during construction.
* The painted room is free of toxic and harmful gases and smells during use.
Only the coatings that meet the above five requirements and obtain the environmental protection mark issued by the State Environmental Protection Bureau can be called environmental protection coatings. Because the above heavy metals and their compounds are extremely harmful to human body, they are not easy to be excreted once inhaled. However, solvents and additives such as aromatic hydrocarbons, phenols and formaldehyde halides have carcinogenic effects.
Some people think that water-based coatings are even environmentally friendly coatings, but from the above national requirements, they have not yet reached the requirements of environmentally friendly coatings. It can only be said that water-based coatings are more energy-saving, less solvent pollution, or lower organic volatile matter (VOC). Therefore, only those that have been certified by the State Environmental Protection Agency and affixed with environmental protection signs issued by the State Environmental Protection Agency can be considered as environmental protection coatings.
