Urgent! Page number setting: set the page number from the third page, and to which page, a total of several pages. The first two pages are not included in the total number of page numbers. How to set it? I'm also doing a thesis, and I've encountered such a problem, which has just been solved.

1. Before you click Insert, you should position the cursor after the last word on the second page (that is, you should position it there when you finish writing), otherwise a blank page will appear.

2. There are three small icons behind the switch in the header and footer, namely "Previous Section", "Next Section" and "Link to Previous Section". Just click cancel. It's hard to find. I've been looking for it for a long time

These are two things to pay attention to. Then you can follow the online method.

In a Word document:

1. Position the cursor at the end of the previous page of any page where page numbers are to be inserted, and insert "separator" and "next page". The cursor is positioned at the top of the next page;

2. Open the header and footer by executing View/Header and Footer, and click the "Header and Footer Switch" button on the "Header and Footer" toolbar to switch the cursor to the footer of this page;

3. Click the "Header and Footer" toolbar to close the "Link to the previous section" button (the words "Same as the previous section" disappear in the upper right corner of the footer);

4. Execute the "Insert/Page Number" command to insert the page number of this page (the previous page has no page number and is blank).
