University teachers have a standard for deducting points.
The first thing to look at is what class. If it is a composition class, then honest attention is paid to the structure of the whole article and the organization of paragraphs. Grammar is not the key point, but it will still make the teacher feel that your paper is flawed.
If it is intensive reading, general punctuation and spelling mistakes will be deducted less, but serious grammar mistakes may be deducted 3-4 points according to the situation.
Spoken English: Students can express the basic meaning even though they say broken sentences, or they can be merciful. If there are serious grammar mistakes, you should also deduct some points, because the sentences you say are very confusing.
