Natural selection, survival of the fittest —— Thoughts on Reading Wonderful Animal World (1200 words)

With the fragrance of flowers and tea outside the window, I read a wonderful animal world in my hand. When I opened the book, an ink fragrance came to my face. With the deepening of reading, I can't help but immerse myself in the book and marvel at the strange skills of various animals in the book to adapt to the surrounding environment. Facing their survival skills to adapt to the surrounding environment, I can't help but realize that "natural selection, survival of the fittest"!

Whether it is weak insects, beautiful fish, ancient amphibians and reptiles and mammals of different shapes, they have developed a set of survival skills. Beautiful fish swim freely in the ocean with fins; Smart birds fly carefree in the sky with their wings; Camouflaged southern hydralisks hide in the grass to catch prey ... In fact, the performance of every animal tells us: "Natural selection, survival of the fittest." Yes, nature is ever changing. We should not wait for nature to adapt to us, but should actively adapt to nature, because the weak who survive will be eliminated by the environment, on the contrary, they will survive strongly!

In fact, throughout the ages, ancient and modern, Chinese and foreign, who has not been too low on the environment? Who hasn't struggled to survive? Who hasn't adapted to everything around? After the unremitting efforts of Han people, Cai Lun made cheap and durable paper out of coarse cloth and sacks, which is called Cai Houzhi. In Song Dynasty, Bi Sheng also invented movable type printing, which is more time-saving and labor-saving than block printing. Edison used thousands of failures for hard-won success ... Because of this, I appreciate Cai Lun's efforts and dare to try papermaking; I admire Bi Sheng's active exploration and innovative practice; I just admire Edison's persistent and active experimental actions ... although they used to be full of disdain, although their economic and financial resources are far behind others, although their innate conditions may be inferior to others, although the road ahead is full of difficulties and obstacles ... they are all strong people in life and giants in action! They use their own personal experience to prove to us: "Natural selection, survival of the fittest." Only when you get used to the surrounding environment will you gain hope and vitality. The popularity of movable type printing, the widespread use of paper and the popularity of light bulbs are the best examples.

If it runs counter to the environment, the result will be unimaginable! We deeply regret the tragedy of the dodo, marvel at the endangered platypus, and cherish the rarity of the giant panda ... In fact, most of these endangered rare animals were eliminated by the environment. The society is progressing and the times are developing, but it always retains the original characteristics of tens of millions or even hundreds of millions of years ago. If it were not for the protection of human beings, they would have been eliminated and abandoned by the environment. Remember, natural selection makes the fittest survive. If you don't adjust yourself to nature in time with the pace of nature, then it will be a matter of time before you are eliminated by nature.

Whether it is a fragile ant or a majestic lion, whether it is a colorful butterfly or a conscientious bee, all kinds of animals try their best to survive and do their jobs well. Perhaps they know in their hearts: "Natural selection, survival of the fittest!" We should learn from these animals that bow their heads to the environment, because it is by temporarily bowing their heads that they gain a longer survival time and realize a better and stronger way of life. Of course, we should also learn from Bi Sheng and Cai Lun's attitude towards life. They are vivid examples around us, showing us the truth of "natural selection, survival of the fittest". As animals, they will do everything possible to protect themselves in order to survive, because they know that "natural selection, survival of the fittest." As a person, they will keep pace with the times in time, because they know that "natural selection, survival of the fittest." As a country, it will update its weapons and equipment, and let itself move from poverty to prosperity and from backwardness to advanced, because they know that "natural selection, survival of the fittest." As a nation, they will unite as one, go hand in hand, defend the country and dignity, and be beaten if they fall behind. They also know that "natural selection, survival of the fittest." This sentence suits each of us.

At this time, there was a breeze blowing outside the window, and at the same time, there were bursts of flowers. I once again opened the wonderful animal world, savoring the knowledge and truth between the lines word by word. I thought: What can I realize this time?

Listening to and Cherishing Underwater Sound —— Thoughts on Reading Water on Earth as a Scientific Explorer (Part Two)

Looking at the waves blown by the wind on the river, the sun shines, and the whole river looks sparkling, so I can't help thinking a lot.

When I first saw the book Water on Earth as a scientific explorer. I don't think there's anything to see. I didn't expect to be deeply attracted by the content inside. It tells us that water exists around us in various forms and has unique charm. It also introduces the relationship between water resources and human beings and the movement of ocean water, which not only enriches our knowledge, but also broadens our horizons.

Since ancient times, water has nourished everything. In ancient times, it was a god and was worshipped and religiously believed by the people. It's missing, which is entrusted by the poet with emotion. Then, "Jun asked that the return date was undecided, and the rain rose in the autumn pool in the evening"; It is selfless, nourishing farmers' land, "sneaking into the night with the wind, moistening things silently." Nowadays, water is indispensable in our life. Even two-thirds of people's mass is made up of water. It is said that everything grows on the sun, but I think water is also essential.

Although the earth is a "water planet", the available fresh water is very limited. Quote from this book: "Most of the water on the earth, more than 97% is salt water in the ocean, and only 3% is fresh water. About 2/3 of this 3% water is stored in the huge glaciers in the Antarctic and Arctic, and there is also a small amount of water in the atmosphere, which basically exists in the form of invisible water vapor. There is less than 1% fresh water available for human use on the earth. I feel a little guilty about this, because we can see the waste of water resources everywhere, but we turn a blind eye. Then our future generations will have very little water resources, so how can we have more fresh water resources for us to use? My first thought is the sea. We can turn seawater into fresh water for our daily life. We have all studied chemistry. First, we filter seawater and get fresh water from salt water. This process is called desalination in chemistry, and then the water is boiled by distillation to get fresh water. This book also introduces a method called frozen water, which is to pump water into a precise filter under high pressure and use the filter to separate fresh water and make it salty. Seawater desalination needs energy, and some corresponding equipment is very expensive. Nevertheless, in the arid Middle East, the United States has adopted this technology. Seeing this, I think China should also adopt this technology, because the daily water consumption is very tight now. If this technology is adopted, the problem of water shortage in arid areas can be solved. Although China implements the "South-to-North Water Diversion Policy", it needs financial, material and human resources. I wonder if it would be better to use the financial resources of the "South-to-North Water Transfer Project" for seawater desalination technology?

Some people may think that taking water from the iceberg, but have you ever thought about what to do with the fresh water that has not been taken back? Will it have some negative effects on the surrounding creatures?

Now we are all popular in recycling waste water. Speaking of which, I think of the polluted river in my hometown. We can use the method mentioned in this book: add bacteria to the sediment deposited in wastewater to form "active sediment", and then mix it with wastewater, and bacteria will decompose the residual dirt in water. If additional treatment is needed to remove other substances such as metals and industrial chemicals, once the wastewater is effectively treated, it can recover harmlessly, be discharged back to lakes, rivers and oceans, and penetrate into the ground. Water can re-enter the water cycle. I think this must be suitable for every polluted lake, because it is not only beneficial to protect water resources, but also can provide fresh water for our daily life. If this problem is solved, I believe we won't have to worry about drought and water shortage. Of course, this is just my personal opinion.

At this point, I think we should all know the importance of fresh water resources! In this world where fresh water resources are scarce, water resources need our protection and treasure.

Water is the source of all things.

Water is the life of all things.

Water is the future of all things.

As the Tao Te Ching said, "Water is the good of all things, and water is the evil of all things." Then why don't we cherish water resources?
