Hebei Public Security Police Vocational College, formerly known as Hebei Public Security School, was founded in 1978. 1982 The school moved to Shijiazhuang, the provincial capital, and in 199 1 the Hebei Public Security School was renamed Hebei People's Police School.

1998 Hebei Provincial People's Police School and Hebei University of Science and Technology jointly established the People's Police College of Hebei University of Science and Technology.
