Success (Ji Xianlin)

What is success? I picked up a modern Chinese dictionary, which read: "Success, get the expected result." Simple and clear.

However, when it comes to "expectation", it is complicated and confusing. Everyone has different expectations all the time, every day and every month. Some are successful, some are unsuccessful. In short, they can't be defined and classified, so we won't talk about them.

I only talk about success here, especially the way to success. This is another great topic, but I only do it on a small scale. After 70 or 80 years, I got the following formula: talent+diligence+opportunity = success.

"Talent", I originally wanted to use "genius", but genius is a rare phenomenon, and many of them are "partial talents", so I abandoned it and used "talent" instead, and everyone will understand it at a glance. This formula is really too simple, but its meaning is clear. It's too complicated, but it's not easy to explain.

Talking about talent, we must first admit that talent is different from person to person. No one can deny this fact. After ten years of catastrophe, it is puzzling that people who pretend to be geniuses have actually sold a large number of geniuses. Today, in the academic and literary circles, people who pretend to be geniuses are quite rare. I dare not praise them except that they "feel too good about themselves". I think it's better to be objective and realistic about my talent.

As for diligence, it has always been praised by the ancients. Stories such as yeast, snow-reflecting, hanging beams and thorn stocks have been circulated for thousands of years and are well known. Han Wengong's "burning ointment and oil continuously, keeping poor for a long time" is what scholars yearn for. If you are not diligent, it is useless to be talented again. The reason is clear, and there is nothing to rap about.

When it comes to opportunities, people tend to ignore them. It actually exists and sometimes has a great influence. Take me for example. If Tsinghua hadn't sent me to study in Germany, my life wouldn't be like this at all.

Let's analyze three conditions for success. Talent is determined by "heaven", and there is nothing we can do. The opportunity came unexpectedly, and there was nothing we could do. Only diligence is our decision, and we must work hard for it. Here, the ancients also taught a lot. Let's start with Han Wengong. He said: "the industry is good at diligence, and it is boring to play with things; Everything I have done is thought and destruction. " These two sentences are familiar to everyone.

Wang Jing' an said in "Words on Earth": "The great cause of ancient and modern times and the questioner of the university must pass through three realms:' Last night, the west wind withered the green trees, and I was alone in the tall building and looked at the horizon. "This first place also. My belt is getting wider, and I am haggard because of Iraq, and I don't regret it. So is this second environment. The crowd looked for him thousands of times, and when I turned around, I saw the man there, with the lights dim.' So is this third place. "Mr. Jing 'an's first game is expected. The second scene is about diligence. The second scene is about success. There is no talent and no opportunity. I dare not say that this is his omission, because the angle of writing is different. But I think it seems more comprehensive to make up for talent and opportunity. I hope everyone can come up with the spirit of "getting wider and wider without regret" to engage in study or career, which is the only way to success.

Such as Lin Qin Jia Zhen

As the saying goes, "Nothing is difficult in the world." Han Yu, a writer in the Tang Dynasty, said: "Industry is good at diligence." Profound knowledge comes from diligence.

Diligence means cherishing time, studying, thinking, exploring and practicing. People who have made achievements in ancient and modern times are diligent and successful.

The result of diligence. Marx wrote Das Kapital, studied hard for 40 years and read an amazing number of books, including 1500 kinds of notes. Sima Qian wrote Historical Records, and since he was 20 years old, he traveled all over the Yellow River and the Yangtze River, collecting a large number of social historical materials, which laid the foundation for the creation of Historical Records. Goethe spent 58 years, collected a lot of information, and wrote Faust, a poetic drama that has great influence in the world literary and ideological circles. On the way to the peak of mathematics, Chen Jingrun, a contemporary mathematician in China, read thousands of related materials at home and abroad, studied all night and made achievements that shocked the world. A young woman in Shanghai insisted on self-study, and after ten years, she was finally admitted to the graduate school of high-energy physics. It can be seen that any achievement can not be separated from diligence. There is no exception in ancient and modern China and foreign countries.

Diligence makes wisdom. Legend has it that there was an orator named Demosthenes in ancient Greece. Because he stuttered when he was a child, his voice was vague and his pronunciation was inaccurate, and he was often overwhelmed by eloquent opponents. However, he was not discouraged and discouraged. In order to overcome this weakness and defeat his eloquent opponent, he recited to the sea with a stone in his mouth every day, and practiced speaking for 50 years, even climbing mountains and running, and eventually became one of the most famous speakers in Greece. Zhu, a scholar in the Song Dynasty, told a story: There was a man named Chen in Fuzhou who was very slow to respond. He can only read 50 words at a time, and he has to read a short article once or twice to get familiar with it. But he is neither lazy nor lazy. He studies hard and practices hard. Others read it once, and he studied it three times and four times. As time goes on, his knowledge increases day by day. Later, he read a lot of books and became a learned man. This shows that even if the talent is poor and the reaction is slow, you can make a fool of yourself as long as you are diligent.

Practice has proved that the key to a person's knowledge lies in how diligent he is. Lazy people will never achieve anything in their careers and will never make themselves smart. Only diligent people can hunt for real wisdom and talents in the infinite ocean of knowledge, open up the field of knowledge and make themselves smart. Gorky said: "Genius comes from diligence." As long as you are diligent, you will certainly win great achievements in your career through hard work. I think everyone who is eager to learn must be able to appreciate the profound meaning of "diligence".
