Professor Zhou has long been engaged in innovative research on basic theory and its application engineering in computer visualization technology, software engineering, Chinese information processing and other important fields. Courses such as visualization technology, advanced graphic design and virtual reality were offered for undergraduates and postgraduates, and 65,438 doctoral students and 38 master students majoring in computer science were trained. He presided over and completed major scientific research projects such as the National Ninth Five-Year Plan, 863 High-tech and National Natural Science Foundation, and made breakthrough progress in the difficult technology of 3D visualization, and many creative achievements produced remarkable social and economic benefits.
