Dazhou No.1 Middle School in Sichuan Province was founded on 1906. It is a century-old school with a long history of running a school and a glorious revolutionary tradition. It is the first batch of key middle schools named 1982, Sichuan school spirit demonstration school, Sichuan civilized unit, Sichuan demonstration ordinary high school and schools directly under Dazhou Education Bureau. In 2000, more than 200 mu of land was expropriated in the Western Development Zone, and a new campus was built in August 2005, creating a new pattern of running schools in the two districts. In July 2006, it successfully merged with Sichuan Daxian Normal School.
