Appreciation of Famous Teahouse Works
Edvard munch is a Norwegian symbolist painter, printmaker and an important pioneer of expressionism. His most famous work "Scream" is one of a series of works called "The Ribbon of Life", in which Monk explores the themes of life, love, fear, death and melancholy. Like many of his works, he painted several versions. Similar paintings also have despair and anxiety. Screaming depicts a painful figure against the blood-red skyline. Some people say that this symbolizes that human beings are overwhelmed by the blow of survival anxiety. The scenery in the background is the Oslo Fjord, seen from the Ekberg Mountain in Oslo, Norway.
