At present, most of the senior technical talents and technical achievements related to the detection, appraisal and reinforcement of building structures are in institutions of higher learning or research institutes of building science. The vast number of civil engineering technicians working in urban and rural grass-roots units are in great need of knowledge and technology in detection, appraisal and reinforcement.
In view of this, the author collected some examples of engineering quality accidents at home and abroad. According to the provisions of the current national technical specifications, referring to the relevant prevention and treatment methods at home and abroad, combined with the experience of dealing with engineering quality accidents, this book was compiled according to the course syllabus. This book introduces the appraisal standards and methods of dangerous houses, the reliability appraisal of industrial buildings, the seismic appraisal of buildings and the appraisal of concrete members after fire. Include simple detection of building clay and soft soil foundation, compressive strength detection of brick masonry, concrete strength detection, tensile strength detection of steel bars, on-site detection of construction quality of concrete structures strengthened with carbon fiber sheets, house deformation observation, structural performance detection technology of concrete flexural members and durability evaluation of concrete structures in atmospheric environment. In addition, it also introduces various methods (including design and construction) of foundation reinforcement, masonry structure reinforcement and concrete structure beam, slab and column reinforcement. This book is suitable for the identification and treatment of engineering accidents such as foundation, masonry structure, reinforced concrete structure, masonry and reinforced concrete structure, so that civil technicians working at the grassroots level can have a basic understanding of the detection, identification and reinforcement of existing building structures. For general housing accidents, having this book in hand can basically solve the problem.
The author has worked at the grass-roots level for a long time, and deeply feels that the ability of grass-roots civil technicians to deal with structural problems is weak. In order to increase the scientificity of dealing with housing structural problems, the author has read a large number of relevant papers, codes and standards, hoping to be beneficial to grassroots civil engineering technicians in dealing with similar housing problems.
