China mathematician. Born in 193 1, Changsha, Hunan. 1954 graduated from the Mathematics Department of Northeast Renmin University, and taught in the Mathematics Department of Lanzhou University in the same year. 1978 was named professor and 1983 was named doctoral supervisor. Currently, he is honorary director of the Department of Mathematics of Lanzhou University, director of the Institute of Mathematics of Lanzhou University, editor-in-chief of Journal of Lanzhou University (Natural Science Edition), director of China Society of Systems Engineering, chairman of Gansu Society of Systems Engineering, honorary chairman of Gansu Society of Mathematics, judge of the Department of Mathematics and Physics of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and editor of the magazines of Mathematics, Mathematics Research and Review and Pure and Applied Mathematics. He used to be the director of the Department of Mathematics of Lanzhou University, the chairman of the Gansu Mathematical Society, the editor-in-chief of Lanzhou University Press, the judge of the discipline group of the State Education Commission, the deputy director of the Education Steering Committee of ordinary colleges and universities in Gansu Province, and the editorial board of advances in mathematics and Northeast Mathematics.
Mr. Chen Wenyuan has long been engaged in the teaching and research of nonlinear analysis in colleges and universities, and has studied industrial production and social and economic applications. A large number of professionals have been trained for the country, and 24 doctoral students have been recruited and trained. He presided over the research of many scientific research projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation Project and the Doctoral Program Fund Project of the State Education Commission. Representative works include Nonlinear Functional Analysis, Implicit Function Theorem, and Quantitative Analysis of the Feasibility of Strategic Planning in Gansu Province. The chief editor's papers include Nonlinear Analysis and Proceedings of the Ninth National Conference on Nonlinear Functional Analysis. He has published more than 40 papers on bifurcation theory, nonlinear integral equation, approximation method and topological degree theory. He has successively won 1978, 1984 Gansu Science and Technology Achievement Award, 1985 Science and Technology Progress Award of State Education Commission, 1987 Excellent Textbook Award of State Education Commission, 1988 First National Excellent Education Book Award, and 1989 National Excellent Teaching. 1989 was rated as the national excellent teacher.
