From the perspective of economic globalization

Economic globalization is sweeping the world with an irresistible momentum, economic and trade relations between countries are getting closer and closer, and global value relations are undergoing revolutionary changes. As a rising developing country, China is actively integrated into the world economic family, and on the other hand, it is faced with the reality that global talents are extremely scarce. As a global talent, in addition to global vision and global management ability, it is more important to master the international common language and have global communication skills. Therefore, business English is an essential ability of globalization.

In order to cultivate global talents with international communication skills, Lifelong Leadership Art Management College held a free lecture on "Lifelong Leadership-Business English and Enterprise Management" in Oriental Plaza in collaboration with China university of international business and economics and its three major international cooperation projects (China-US International Management College, China-France International Management College and International School of Excellence).

The event attracted wide attention from all walks of life, and the conference hall accommodating more than 200 people was packed. The EMBA Director of Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, USA, a partner of China-US School of International Management, made a special trip from the United States to Beijing to attend the event and delivered a speech entitled "The Road to Global Leadership". Mr. Nick Arnold, the organizer of this activity and Dean of Lifelong Leadership Art Management College, delivered a speech on "Lifelong Learning and Lifelong Leadership". Their speeches received enthusiastic response from the participants. In order to provide guidance for the participants to learn business English, two professors from the School of English of the University of Maryland, Mr. Gu Dazhong, Director of Operations of the School of Lifelong Leadership and Art Management, and Professor He Zengmei from the School of Excellence in International Business and Economics gave wonderful speeches on business English learning respectively. The "China-Europe Senior Translator Training Center" co-founded by the University of Economics and Business and the EU Translation Department also participated in this activity, and specially showed high-level translators to the audience.

As a partner of this activity, Mr. Liu Baocheng, Dean of China-US School of International Management, China-France School of International Management and School of Excellence in International Studies at the University of Economics and Business, introduced the characteristics of three foreign cooperation projects of the University of Economics and Business, expounded the important role of business English in international talents, and emphasized the prominent position of English teaching in the three international colleges of the University of Economics and Business.

The Academy of Lifelong Leadership Art Management is a professional institution of China International Education Industry Investment Group, which specializes in enterprise training and is registered in the United States. It has four branches and ten offices in China. University of international business and economics Sino-American Institute of International Management, an MBA education institution for senior managers in cooperation with the University of Maryland, was recently named as "Top Ten Most Influential MBA Programs in China". The China-France International School of Management is the earliest MBA training program that the French government cooperated with the French government. It has had teaching cooperation with the famous Sorbonne University in France and has a history of 13 years. Excellence International College is one of the few undergraduate-level foreign cooperation projects in China, which specializes in training university business professionals.

The School of Lifelong Leadership Art Management of the University of Economics and Business and three international cooperation projects jointly organized this activity, aiming at strengthening the cooperation between training enterprises and business colleges, creating a high-quality business English training platform, paving the way for business English learners to all levels of business administration education, and finally achieving the career goals of lifelong learning and lifelong leadership.

With the further strengthening of globalization and the improvement of social informatization level, there are more and more multinational enterprises and projects in China. China people have invested a lot of time and energy in English learning, but their practical English application ability is very weak. The fundamental reason is that traditional English teaching is divorced from the evolution of social culture and the development of the times. Therefore, as far as English learners in China are concerned, their ultimate communicative competence also depends on their cross-cultural awareness and ability.

■ Second, the analysis of the current situation of business English teaching reform under the background of globalization

The goal of English teaching in the context of globalization is to transform language competence into intercultural communicative competence. Cultivating cross-cultural communication consciousness, conducting reasonable cultural introduction and constructing communicative teaching mode can not be ignored. Traditional business English teaching is based on "English plus business knowledge", which leads to insufficient understanding of business culture training and culture education. Even in practice, we unconsciously use mother tongue language rules, communication habits, ways of thinking and cultural background to express our thoughts and exchanges, which leads to misunderstandings in communication. From the perspective of globalization, how to cultivate students' intercultural communication ability in business English teaching has become one of the hot topics in business English teaching in colleges and universities, and it has also become the goal of the reform of business English professional training mode.

■ Third, the importance of intercultural communication ability from the perspective of globalization

3. 1 Cultural exchange has become an important factor affecting foreign exchange.

Cultivation of Intercultural Communicative Competence and Business English Teaching from the Perspective of Globalization With the rapid development of China's economy and frequent domestic and foreign exchange activities, more and more China people travel and study abroad, and it is becoming more and more common to work in foreign companies and employ foreigners. Cross-cultural awareness and cross-cultural communicative competence play an important role in the success of these activities.

3.2 Culture is the bridge and link of business activities.

Business activity is a kind of cross-cultural communication. Different countries have different cultural backgrounds. If you don't understand each other's culture and act according to the meaning expressed by your own culture, it will lead to cultural conflicts and lead to the failure of business activities. Take business negotiation as an example to illustrate the role of culture in business activities. Business negotiation is an important part of business activities and plays a key role in the success of business activities. Negotiators come from different countries and have different cultural backgrounds. If you don't know each other's culture in advance and don't have the meaning and ability of cross-cultural communication, you may have differences because of small links. In business negotiations, we should be familiar with the cultural background of other countries and master the characteristics of negotiators in order to take the initiative in negotiations.

3.3 Cross-cultural communication ability has become an essential quality for business English talents.

Today's worldwide communication is characterized by cross-culture, which also involves all aspects of foreign exchange activities. In April, 2000, English Syllabus for English Majors in Colleges and Universities put forward requirements for English majors in terms of cultural literacy: senior English majors should be familiar with China's cultural traditions and have certain artistic accomplishment; They should be familiar with the geography, history, development, cultural traditions and customs of English-speaking countries. The new syllabus puts forward clearer and more detailed requirements for cultivating students' cultural quality, which shows that the cultivation of students' culture has become a factor that cannot be ignored in foreign language teaching in China. Business English majors need language knowledge, business knowledge and intercultural communication skills.

■ Fourth, the analysis of the current business English teaching reform model

Being familiar with the differences between mother tongue culture and target language culture requires teachers to constantly improve their cultural knowledge and awareness and truly understand the purpose of cultural teaching. As far as knowledge is concerned, teachers should constantly improve their comprehensive and systematic mastery of cultural knowledge. To master general cultural knowledge, we should also understand the similarities and differences between specific cultures and different cultures, especially the use of target language in different cultural backgrounds; At the same time, we should have an accurate understanding of the purpose of cultural teaching, and we should not confuse the teaching of cultural knowledge with the acquisition of intercultural communicative competence. Based on the teaching guiding ideology and training objectives, it is clear that the purpose of business English teaching is to train foreign-related business talents who communicate in different business environments and cultural backgrounds. Emphasize the important role of cultural factors in foreign-related business activities, and take cultivating the cultural awareness of the target language as one of the goals of teachers' teaching and students' learning. Teachers should have strong cultural awareness and cultural knowledge, so as to better help students understand the business culture of English-speaking countries. In business English classroom teaching, teachers should not only impart necessary language and professional knowledge, but also cultivate students' social and cultural awareness and ability, so that they can deeply understand the differences between Chinese and western cultures. Explaining the cultural factors such as address, introduction, visit, banquet and farewell in western countries in the form of verbal communication and nonverbal communication will help students improve the correctness of language form and attach importance to the appropriateness of language application, thus gradually gaining cross-cultural sensitivity. Business English teaching should reflect the communicative characteristics of business English, and the teaching methods should be flexible, interesting and diverse. According to the actual situation and teaching purpose, many methods in language acquisition and teaching can be adopted to enable students to complete communication tasks in a certain business environment in a multicultural communication environment, which can stimulate students' interest in learning, develop creative thinking, better cultivate cross-cultural awareness and improve cross-cultural communication ability. The rapid development of modern educational technology provides a variety of teaching methods for business English teaching, which enriches the teaching mode and broadens the development space. Guide students to understand cultural differences, understand cultural connotations and cultivate the initiative of cross-cultural communication.

■ V. Conclusion

On the basis of mastering language knowledge, business English majors should take learning and accumulating cultural knowledge as the starting point, take cultivating and improving cross-cultural communication ability as the way, take real cultural understanding as the ultimate goal, and improve their language communication ability to adapt to the changing external world and the requirements of globalization for cross-cultural communication talents.
