There is a legend about this boulder. It is said that in ancient times, there was a Tianchi Lake on Changbai Mountain. Whenever the lotus is in full bloom, all kinds of immortals go to Tianchi to bathe, pick lotus and visit the mountains.

One year, Tie Guai Li and Lv Dongbin, two immortals of the Eight Immortals, left the immortals after bathing in Tianchi and galloped away. On the way, I suddenly found a strange mountain at my feet, shining like snow and stinging my eyes. In the blink of an eye, they gathered clouds and came to the edge of the cliff. I saw rocks like jade and green trees. Two immortals walked up the stone and suddenly saw a flat boulder, smooth and square, like a chessboard. So the two immortals rested and played chess. From noon to night, they can't tell who wins and who loses; At night, the moon shines, and then it rains, so you can't tell the difference between winning and losing.

When a young woodcutter went up the mountain, he found two old people playing chess, which lasted for several days. Later, when the young man went up the mountain again, the two old people disappeared, and only the chessboard and chess pieces on the boulder were still there. Later, it was said that Lv Dongbin and Tie Guai Li, immortals, played games here, hence the name Qipanshan.

After we slowly descended the mountain, we looked around several scenic spots. We were a little tired and had to take a nap on the way. Then keep walking.
