Chaidilong Temple ()
However, due to the political turmoil in the kingdom, the temple was not completed until the reign of King Tilocala (A.D. 144 1- 1487). The big stupa in the center of the temple is the main building of the temple, which combines Lana, India, Sri Lanka and other styles. After repeated addition, it is as high as 90 meters, which is said to overlook thousands of miles. 1447, King Tilocala held the famous 8th World Buddhist Congress in the temple, and the temple became more and more famous. 1545, a major earthquake occurred in Chiang Mai, and the tower tip of the giant Buddha collapsed overnight. Since then, in the Thai-Burmese war in the16th century, it was repeatedly robbed. In the end, it is only about 60 meters high, but it is still the tallest building in Chiang Mai in 500 years.
