Since joining the work, I have been engaged in the teaching of genetics and molecular biology and the scientific research of wheat genetics and breeding. He has profound attainments in genetics, plant tissue culture, exogenous DNA introduction technology after plant pollination and so on. He presided over the completion of key projects of Science and Technology Department of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, natural science fund of the autonomous region, education commission projects of the autonomous region and other scientific research projects. At present, he is mainly engaged in the research on genetic diversity of plant germplasm resources, and is carrying out the national natural science foundation project.

The oat DNA fragment was successfully introduced into wheat for the first time, which provided a new germplasm for stripe rust resistance resources of spring wheat in Ningxia. It also provides a new way for the application of biotechnology in spring wheat breeding in Ningxia, and this achievement won the second prize of scientific and technological progress in the autonomous region in 2003.

More than 20 academic papers have been published, 7 of which have been published in core journals such as Journal of Plant Protection, Journal of Nanjing Agricultural University and Agricultural Research in Arid Areas. Two papers won the third prize of outstanding academic papers in natural science in the autonomous region.
