On that day in Tomb-Sweeping Day, all the teachers and students in our class visited the Gao Qiao Martyrs Cemetery. We marched neatly to Gao Qiao Martyrs Cemetery, where there were green pine trees and a bunch of bright red flowers. The whole cemetery gives the impression that the scenery is solemn and beautiful.

Gao Qiao Martyrs Cemetery, built in 1954, buried the martyrs who died in Pudong for the liberation of Shanghai 1525. Gao Qiao Martyrs Cemetery is listed as one of the 100 patriotic education bases in China by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It is an important place to carry out revolutionary traditional education and a red hot spot in the hearts of Gao Qiao people.

Walking into the memorial hall, the narrator's aunt told us many heroic deeds, including the stories of martyrs such as Min Shaoqian, Wang Rongxiang and Bai Huai. What moved me most was the story of Wang Tiran, a native of Pei County, Jiangsu Province. 1949 In May, Chiang Kai-shek stationed in Gao Qiao violently attacked the PLA positions on the outskirts of Gao Qiao town in an attempt to recapture the positions on the outskirts of Gao Qiao town occupied by the PLA. Wang Tiran and his soldiers fought bravely against the enemy's attacks again and again, and finally they were unfortunately shot and sacrificed heroically.

Then we came to the Martyrs' Tomb, where the loyalty of 1525 martyrs was buried in 36 tombs and 68 monuments were erected. Pieces of tombstones are neatly arranged in the lawn, with dense cypresses and lush green grass, which adds a solemn atmosphere.

After the visit, I walked out of the Martyrs Cemetery. I think: countless martyrs gave their precious lives for national liberation, national independence and people's happiness, in exchange for our happiness today. We young pioneers must study hard and be useful to our motherland when we grow up.
