After returning to university from 1978, I wrote several monographs, papers and teaching materials. Such as the abstraction of art and abstract art, ugliness, ugliness and its application in western music, the polyphonic creation skills of the mainstream of modern music in the Soviet Union, the comparison of musical creation thinking between the East and the West, polyphony of colors, and the summary of musical aesthetic psychological activities. Monographs: Pilgrimage to Advanced Music, Le Hai's Talk, Diary of Learning the Qin, I Love Bach, etc. Textbooks include Polyphony Music Course, Concise Polyphony Course, Jazz Harmony and Piano Improvisation Skills, Introduction to Opera (in cooperation with Qian Yuan), Music Aesthetic Psychology and other courses. At present, he has served as the Ministry of Culture, the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and various scientific research projects in the hospital.
Professor Hua Lin also created some different forms of music works, such as chamber music, chorus, piano solo and art songs. Such as the indoor band "Tragedy Suite"; Dance drama "Mountain Flowers Bloom" and "Sunflower Song"; Organ music prelude, aria and fugue in G major, piano music Pascal and fugue in A minor, prelude and fugue collection, notes on mistranslation of poems in Figure 24, etc. Piano quintet "Taohuawu Woodcut New Year Pictures", trio "Yangguan Sandie" and so on. String quartet "The Beauty of Peking Opera" and so on. And the chorus songs "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon" and "Three Square Plums" adapted from the lyrics.
1982, Hua Lin was interviewed by Montaney, president of the Royal Film Academy, and introduced her works in the large-scale documentary "Long Zhixin", which was shown in more than 0/00 countries around the world and had certain influence. Since 2005, Professor Hua Lin has been hired as a member of the art education expert lecture group of the Ministry of Education to explain music theory in universities all over the country. In addition, he also served as a visiting professor in some colleges and an art consultant for performing groups.
