Overview of water pump motor
Pump motor can be divided into horizontal motor and vertical motor according to its structure. Because the working characteristics of water pump are relatively small starting torque, relatively few starting times and relatively long continuous running time, most water pump motors are asynchronous motors or synchronous motors with squirrel-cage rotors.

The selection of pump motor should be based on shaft power; The motor power is one grade higher than the shaft power; For example, the shaft power is 15KW, and the selected motor should be18.5kw. As for the multi-pole motor, it should be based on the actual working conditions. Two-pole motors are generally used in the case of slightly higher lift and small flow (the calculation is more complicated). 4-pole motor can be selected for occasions with large flow and small lift. 4-pole or 6-pole motor is selected for ultra-large flow and low lift. When selecting a 6-pole motor, the power can be reduced by one level according to the shaft power.
