Henan Forestry Vocational College is located in Luoyang City, the Millennium Imperial Capital and Peony Flower City. It is a provincial public full-time higher vocational college. Founded in April of 195 1, it is one of the five earliest forestry colleges in China. At the beginning of its establishment, it was called "Luoyang Agriculture and Forestry Secondary Technical School in Henan Province", and in August 1953 it was renamed as "Luoyang Forestry School in Henan Province", in August 1958 it was upgraded to "Luoyang Forestry College in Henan Province" and in August 1963 it was renamed as "Luoyang Forestry School in Henan Province". 1966 stopped enrolling students, 1974 resumed enrolling students; /kloc-0 changed its name to "Henan Forestry School" in February, 1998. In 2002, it was jointly run with Henan University of Science and Technology and became its second-level college, named "Henan University of Science and Technology Forestry Vocational College", which coexisted with two brands of "Henan Forestry School". April 20 13, approved by the people's government of Henan province and put on record by the Ministry of Education, was independently set up as "Henan Forestry Vocational College" at the specialist level. At present, it is the only forestry vocational college in Henan Province, and it is known as the "cradle of forestry talents in Henan". The college is located at No.2 Zhongzhou East Road, Chanhe District, Luoyang City. The campus covers an area of 340 mu, with a construction area of more than 200,000 square meters and fixed assets of 420 million yuan. Comprehensive teaching building, experimental building, training building, library, student apartment, restaurant, campus supermarket, student activity center and standard track and field facilities are complete. The college library covers an area of 1650 square meters and has a collection of 523,000 books. The college has four provincial-level engineering and technical research centers, namely, special robot for orchards in Henan Province, rejuvenation of ancient and famous trees in Henan Province, forest restoration in Henan Province and efficient utilization of forest and fruit resources in Henan Province. There are two key forestry laboratories and engineering centers in Henan Province. It has experimental training and scientific research platforms, such as Wildlife Specimen Museum, Luoyang Cultural and Creative Training Platform, Luoyang Mobile Internet Application Technology Training Platform, Garden Training Center, Automobile Assembly and Maintenance Training Center, Intelligent Manufacturing Training Center and Tourism Training Center, and has organized 93 experimental training rooms for training, accounting simulation, network security, software engineering, animation production, film and television post-production, e-commerce, numerical control processing, electronic and electrical technology application, and more than 2,500 computers for teaching. Off-campus practice training bases 130. There are 93 student associations in the college, and the number of students who participate in club activities all the year round remains above 5,000. There are 44 majors, among which mechatronics technology and computer network technology are national backbone majors. Garden technology, landscape engineering technology, gardening technology, numerical control technology, forest eco-tourism and animation production technology are key construction majors in Henan Province, while computer network technology, accounting, e-commerce, automobile inspection and maintenance technology and electromechanical integration technology are provincial-level teaching demonstration majors. In 2020, the professional group of landscape architecture technology was recognized as a high-level professional group by the Henan Provincial Department of Education, and the school entered the ranks of "double high" schools in higher vocational colleges in Henan Province. Henan Branch of College of Continuing Education of Beijing Forestry University is located in the college, and currently offers undergraduate majors such as forestry, landscape architecture, computer science and technology, with more than 200 students. There are 436 faculty members in our college, including 75 professors and associate professors, 60 double-qualified teachers/kloc-0, and 2 10 with master's degree or above. Teachers have edited more than 200 textbooks and published more than 2,000 papers in various official journals.
