Chen: Male, born in February/943, graduated from Nanjing Forestry University 1964. Researcher of Chinese Academy of Forestry, part-time doctoral supervisor of International Bamboo and Rattan Network Center, lifelong senior researcher and former deputy director-general of International Bamboo and Rattan Organization, academician of International Timber Society, chairman of Wood Industry Branch of China Forestry Society, expert consultant of Beijing Municipal People's Government, and part-time professor of Nanjing Forestry University. The current research direction is the high value-added processing and utilization of bamboo and rattan products.
