First, when students are in the first year of college, all courses are public courses, and students' majors are not divided, so each major sends the best teachers to talk about their professional classic courses in order to win students. In China, students have already decided their major when they enter school, and whether they like it or not, they will not change in these four years.
Second, students in North America combine study with work, which is a very important feature. Students only attend classes in the first two semesters of a freshman (three semesters a year), and then attend classes and work for one semester. There are special teachers who go to various places to contact students, and then students apply for jobs and pay them. After working for a semester, they have to hand in the technical report. However, if they can't apply for these positions, they can't be considered to have completed the task.
Thirdly, it is also a feature that is not available in China, that is, at the end of each academic year, some students will be dismissed by the university because they are not suitable for this major or this school. The teacher said that dismissal was not a bad thing. They can change their major or school and find a more suitable subject. At this point, I don't think there is such a thing in China. Unless students have something very special, I am afraid that as long as students enter this school and study this major, there is a 99.999% chance of graduating normally, and we have no corresponding measures to achieve this.
Fourth, in North America, there is no exam class, and all the scores have been presented separately, and finally weighted average. Therefore, if students fall behind in a subject, it is difficult to make up for it. Universities in North America are not easy to enter, and it will become more and more difficult. China is not like this. Our university is not easy to get into, and now it is getting better and better. As long as you come in, it's easy to go out. Not only universities, but also masters, and doctors are now in mass production.
