Hohhot is located in the middle of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with a total area of 17224 square kilometers. It is a national historical and cultural city with Mongolian as the main body, Han as the majority, Manchu, Hui, Korean, Ewenki, Daur and other 4 1 ethnic groups living together. Multi-ethnic communities and exchanges have led to the differences in region, culture and characteristics of ancient buildings in Hohhot. Taking Ming and Qing architecture and Mongolian and Tibetan meta-cultural architecture as examples, this paper analyzes the present situation, characteristics, culture, history, protection and repair of typical ancient buildings in Hohhot by means of on-the-spot investigation, consulting materials and visiting.
