Classification of Literary Phenomena in Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties
Literary phenomena in Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties can be divided into early Tang, prosperous Tang and middle and late Tang.

In the development of literature in Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties, different periods have different characteristics. Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty unified the whole country, ending 400 years of division and chaos since the end of Han Dynasty, and the society was once prosperous. After Yang Di succeeded to the throne, he was arrogant and extravagant, and launched wars of aggression many times, which seriously damaged social productive forces. In a few years, the economy was ruined, people's grievances were boiling, and the Sui Dynasty perished in people's uprisings in all directions.

Before and after the Sui Dynasty, it only ruled for more than 30 years, and most of the authors were old people in the Northern and Southern Dynasties, deeply influenced by the style of writing in the Southern Dynasties. In addition, Yang Di strongly advocated Liang Chengong's writing style, so the writing style is still very rampant in the literary world. However, due to the strengthening of the national situation and the victory of foreign wars in the early Sui Dynasty, Emperor Wendi once advocated the reform of writing style, and some fresh and vigorous works appeared in some poems in the early Sui Dynasty, especially in frontier poems. This also shows that the style of writing in the Sui Dynasty began to transition to the Tang Dynasty.

Contribution:

After the demise of the Tang Dynasty, the separatist regime of the buffer regions continued, which became a situation of division and melee in the Five Dynasties and Ten Countries. At that time, there were frequent wars in the north, and literature made no achievements. Although there is a war between the ten southern countries, the situation is still quite stable. Southern Tang Dynasty and Houshu have strong national strength, a long history and developed economy and culture. During the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, the creative achievements of Ci made new progress. Under the direct influence of Wen, Huajian poets appeared in Houshu.

Most of the works are Luo Qi Xiangze's ci, but there are also a few poets whose ci style has changed considerably. Many of Wei Zhuang's ci poems have personal lyrical meaning, and their style is beautiful and elegant, which has certain significance. There are Feng Yansi, Li Jing and Li Yu in Southern Tang Dynasty. Their writing content is still relatively narrow, and their feelings are not healthy enough, but they are short of some rich powder. Some of Li Yu's ci poems created after the national subjugation can directly express his feelings, write the feelings of personal national demise, expand the scope of expression of ci poems, make unique achievements in art and make certain contributions to the development of ci poems.
