If you submit a word document with a directory structure, HowNet will divide paragraphs according to chapters and check for duplicates. Otherwise, paragraphs are generally divided into 10000 characters.
Generally speaking, different paragraph division has little effect on repetition rate, so don't worry too much.
How is the repetition rate of papers detected?
When HowNet detects a paragraph, when the total number of words plagiarized from a single document reaches more than 5%, and the similarity of 13 words appears continuously, the paragraph will be marked as red, that is, less than 5% will not be detected. For example, if there are 1000 words in the detection paragraph, if a document references less than 50 words, it will not be detected. Therefore, when writing a paper, don't copy an article paragraph by paragraph, but try to quote multiple documents to avoid the repetition rate being detected.
