Knowledge expansion: format specification of undergraduate dissertations
First of all, the title of the paper
A title is a logical combination that reflects the most important specific content in a short passage with the most appropriate and concise words. The title should not only accurately describe the content, but also be as brief as possible, generally no more than 20 words. Unusual abbreviations, characters, codes and formulas should be avoided in title names. Generally speaking, foreign book titles should not exceed 10 notional words.
2. Preface or preface of the paper (if necessary)
A preface or preface is unnecessary. Foreword or preface is generally the author's brief introduction to the basic characteristics of the paper, such as explaining the origin, background, theme, purpose and significance of the topic, as well as the process of funding, support and cooperation. You can also comment and explain the research on related issues. These contents can also be stated in the introduction and thanks of the text.
Three. Abstracts and keywords of dissertations
It is an extremely important and indispensable part of dissertations and a window of dissertations. It is often used for information exchange, information retrieval and secondary document editing at home and abroad. Its nature and requirements are generally:
1. Abstract is an extract of the main points of the paper, and it is a complete narrative without comments and annotations. It is self-contained and exists independently, and can be used and quoted independently from the paper.
2. The abstract should contain the main information of the full text of the dissertation, the abstract of the master's dissertation should highlight new ideas or innovations, and the abstract of the doctoral dissertation should highlight creative achievements.
3. The contents of the abstract should include the following basic elements:
(1) Objective The premise, purpose and task of research, development and investigation, as well as the scope of disciplines involved.
(2) Principles, theories, conditions, objects, means and procedures used in the method.
(3) Results The results and data of research, investigation, experiment and observation, the determined relationship, the achieved effect and performance, etc.
(4) Analysis, research, comparison, evaluation and application of the conclusion; Questions, future topics, suggestions, predictions, etc.
(5) Other information that is not the main purpose of research, development and investigation, but is also very important in terms of its conclusion and intelligence value.
The details of the abstract depend on the content and nature of the paper. The abstract of general master's degree thesis is about 1500 words, and the abstract of doctoral degree thesis is about 5000 words.
5. Numbers, tables, chemical structures and computer programs are generally not used in abstracts, and non-common symbols, terms and non-legal units of measurement are not used.
6. There should be 3 to 5 keywords, and put another line under the abstract. The contents and fields involved are arranged from large to small, which is convenient for document cataloging and inquiry.
7. There should be English abstracts and keywords corresponding to Chinese abstracts and keywords. The English abstract uses accurate words and uses commonly used words in this subject; The subject (function) is often omitted, so the passive voice is generally used; Use the correct tense, pay attention to the consistency of subject and predicate, and the necessary articles cannot be omitted.
Fourthly, the text of the paper.
The introduction before the text should summarize the previous research work in related fields, and briefly explain the purpose and scope of the research work, research ideas, expected results and the significance of experimental design.
Literature review is the analysis and synthesis of the existing research results and theoretical basis, and it is necessary to point out the related knowledge defects and gaps. Literature review should have a certain length (not less than 1000 words for master's degree thesis and not less than 3000 words for doctoral degree thesis).
The text is the core part, accounting for the main length, which can include: research object, research methods, experimental and observation methods, experimental and observation results, calculation methods and programming principles, data, processed charts, formed arguments and derived conclusions, etc. The title of each chapter should be roughly symmetrical, and there should be a close logical argument between the contents. The length of each part should not be too different, and the title of each chapter should not be too long.
Because of the great differences in disciplines, topics, research methods, workflow and expression of results involved in the research work, there is no uniform regulation on the content of the text. However, it must be informative, appropriate, logical, clear, concise and easy to read.
Verb (abbreviation of verb) paper conclusion
Through the comprehensive analysis and research of the research object (or experimental records and results, etc. ), summarizes some organic conclusions, and discusses the significance, reality or possibility of the popularization and further development of this research result. Conclusion should be accurate, complete, clear and concise.
Sixth, thank you for your paper.
Thanks to the tutors, experts inside and outside the school, experimental technicians, classmates and project sponsors for their guidance and help in the process of completing research and thesis writing. The content should be concise and realistic.
Seven. Dissertation references
List the main references directly cited in the order of appearance, with Chinese documents listed first and foreign documents listed later. The literature types listed in the bibliography include books, periodicals, conference proceedings, patents and dissertations. The recording format is as follows:
1. Book: [serial number] Author (write all within 3 people, only write 3 people plus more than 3 people? Wait? Or? Waiting for someone? ). title. Version (numbered version). Translation. Place of publication: publisher, year of publication. Page by page.

Eight. Appendix to the paper (if necessary)
The appendix is a supplementary explanation to the text. The following contents can be used as the appendix of the paper:
(1) is necessary for the integrity of the whole material, but the insertion of words is unfavorable to the organization and logic of the arrangement;
(2) Because the space is too large, or based on materials that are inconvenient to be included in the text or precious and rare materials;
(3) materials that are not necessary for the general reader to read, but are of reference value to the professional peers.
