Published 10 books. Teachers of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture Department actively participate in mountain development, poverty alleviation and social services. During the Seventh Five-Year Plan and the Eighth Five-Year Plan, more than 20,000 farmers were trained in Yanshan and Jidong (Qinglong, Changli and Zunhua), and more than 20 new technologies and varieties were popularized, creating economic benefits for the society totaling more than 300 million yuan, which was repeatedly commended and rewarded by the state, provinces and cities. As a key discipline in our college, there are three research directions (fruit tree genetics and breeding, fruit tree cultivation physiology and fruit tree germplasm resources). Studies on fruit tree enzymology, grape root promotion mechanism, virus-free apple metabolism mechanism and hawthorn seed dormancy physiological mechanism were carried out. Teachers and students majoring in landscape architecture have completed the design tasks of Li Hui Garden, Litchi Garden and Taolinkou Scenic Area. The Department is a member of China Horticultural Society and vice chairman of Hebei Fruit Society. In recent years, he has participated in 8 international academic conferences, 5 overseas visits, attended key academic conferences of China Association for Science and Technology, China Agricultural Society and China Horticultural Society 100, and attended academic conferences of Provincial Association for Science and Technology and Provincial Fruit Society 120.
