Gan, 1963 was born in Huaining, Anhui province, and 1985 graduated from Chinese Department of Anhui Normal University, and moved to Qinghai in the same year. 1993—— 1999 studied at China capital normal university, and obtained the master's degree and doctor's degree. The tutor was Professor Ouyang Zhongshi. Currently, he is the vice president, associate professor and tutor of master students of China Calligraphy Culture Research Institute of Capital Normal University, a member of China Calligraphers Association, and the deputy director of Education and Publication Committee of Beijing Calligraphers Association. Mainly engaged in calligraphy theory and cursive teaching and research. Postgraduate courses include China calligraphy theory, calligraphy miscellaneous knowledge and cursive script research, while undergraduate courses include running script, ancient calligraphy theory, regular script and cursive script. He is the author of cursive script, calligraphy and China culture (co-authored), China and calligraphy theory Outline (co-authored), Gancao calligraphy copybook, Wang Xizhi's calligraphy guide, and Wang Xizhi's techniques and creation of seventeen pictures. He has completed the social science planning project of Beijing Education Commission and published many professional papers.
