The place where periodicals are collected refers to the places where periodicals are collected by HowNet, Wanfang, VIP, Long Yuan, SCI, SSCI, EI, ISTP and other databases. Only when a journal is included in these databases will the papers published in the journal be submitted to the corresponding database for reference, which is what we call paper retrieval.
Paper retrieval is one of the conditions for evaluating the title of a paper. Suppose that the evaluation unit requires the title of the paper to be included by HowNet and Wanfang. If the journal is only included by VIP, it is not within the scope of self-published papers.
If the author doesn't know the situation and blindly chooses this journal, even if the paper is finally published, it can also be queried in VIP, which does not meet the standard of professional title recognition, so there is no extra point in evaluating the professional title. That is to say, where journals are included will affect the evaluation of professional titles.
Look at the requirements of the title document
(1) When the title file stipulates that the title of the paper can only be included in one of its websites (HowNet, Wanfang, VIP and Long Yuan), you should ensure that the published paper is included in any of these four websites. As long as one of them is included, you will not lose your score because of this condition.
(2) When the title document stipulates that the title of the paper must be searched by HowNet, it means that your published paper must be included by HowNet. Anyone who is not included in HowNet, regardless of whether it is included in other websites, can't evaluate the title.
It can be said that different units have different evaluation criteria for the evaluation of paper topics and whether they are included in HowNet. All participants need to do is ensure that their published papers meet the conditions for promotion.
