A Dream of Red Mansions: What are the real stories?
A Dream of Red Mansions is full of absurd words. Is the author Cao Xueqin or not? Is Qin Keqing a dissolute woman or a real girl? Is Yuan Fei's maternity a historical fact or is it invented by the author? Who is the most precious, Daiyu, Baochai or xiren? These problems often lead to the discussion of "red fans" on the internet, and they have never been conclusive. Recently, Liu, a "red powder" of A Dream of Red Mansions, a folklore expert and a civil servant of provincial organs, was invited to make an independent interpretation of the truth of A Dream of Red Mansions in the academic lecture hall of Hubei Police Academy.

Liu thinks A Dream of Red Mansions is a well-deserved classic in China literature and even in the world literature. In particular, his theory of "the truth is hidden, and the village tells lies" has left readers unlimited room for reverie. In the process of searching for the authenticity of the author, the text and the characters of A Dream of Red Mansions, although some academic achievements have been made, there are still some problems such as misleading readers, damaging the text and even hurting the characters.

Was A Dream of Red Mansions written by Cao Xueqin?

Liu said that until there is no definite evidence at present, it can only be considered as Cao Xueqin. Cao Xueqin is actually one of the many characters designed by the author in A Dream of Red Mansions, which appeared for the first time and the 120th time respectively, which is a kind of care in writing methods. This Cao Xueqin has nothing to do with Cao Xueqin and the so-called "Cao family story" mentioned in the textual research of Dream of Red Mansions.

Liu clearly pointed out that the popular 120 volumes of A Dream of Red Mansions are all works by the same author, with complete stories and consistent language styles, and the last 40 volumes are as wonderful as the first 80 volumes. The status and influence of A Dream of Red Mansions today is due to the complete 120 volumes. Liu deeply regrets that some textual research schools dismembered the original work, belittled the last forty chapters and destroyed the "truth" of the text of A Dream of Red Mansions.

Qin Keqing cheated? It's nothing.

What saddens Liu most is that the "truth" of the characters in A Dream of Red Mansions has been hurt. Qin Keqing, one of the twelve women in Jinling, is the wife of Jia Rong, the son of Jia Zhen in Ningguo Mansion. What kind of woman is Qin Keqing? Liu quoted from the original Dream of Red Mansions, and in the eyes of Jia Mu: "She is the first proud person among the great-grandchildren." In the eyes of your in-laws: "He acts like a man, and neither that relative nor the elders of that family like him." In the eyes of my father-in-law, Jia Zhen said, "My daughter-in-law is ten times better than my son, regardless of friends and relatives at home." In everyone's eyes: "The older generation thinks of his filial piety, the younger generation thinks of his harmony and intimacy, the next generation thinks of his kindness, and the servants at home think of his concern for the poor and the kindness of young people." It is clearly a good daughter-in-law recognized by Rong Hening, and an amiable, lovely and respectable good woman. But it was verified by a dream interpretation expert as a bohemian bad woman: having an affair with her father-in-law (Jia Zhen). I watched A Dream of Red Mansions 120 times, but there was no place to write Qin Keqing's ambiguous words with her father-in-law. The super funeral after Qin Keqing's death not only showed the wealth and status of Ningguo House, but also affirmed Qin Keqing's life. Qin Keqing was wronged for more than 90 years because of a "conjecture" in A Dream of Red Mansions written by a red scientist in 1923. In recent years, Qin Keqing has been romanticized in the name of the so-called "Qin Studies". Liu said that this is a typical confusion between right and wrong, self-deception, and will not be recognized by readers.

If we study A Dream of Red Mansions as a history and speculate as a mystery, we will be lost for its truth, misjudge the truth of its author, damage the truth of its text and the truth of its characters.

Yuan Fei can't be maternal, but her feelings are real.

What is the "truth" of the Red Chamber? Liu said that A Dream of Red Mansions is a true portrayal of novel, art and emotion. A Dream of Red Mansions is a novel, not a history, and the vivid story image in the novel cannot be reduced to a cold historical figure. It is not advisable to study A Dream of Red Mansions even in the name of science. The "truth" of novel art does not mean the "truth" of scientific facts. Science seeks truth, art seeks beauty, science pays attention to seeking truth from facts, and art can be made out of nothing. A Dream of Red Mansions is fascinating because it is "full of absurd words". For example, the "good song" in A Dream of Red Mansions and Zhen's annotation on "good song" are absolutely absurd from the so-called rational point of view. But its appeal and impact come from his absurdity and irrationality. The understanding and judgment of life in novels is based on aesthetics, and the language of novels is literary, not scientific. Literary language and factual judgment often run counter to each other, and cannot be examined by the truth of events and the existence of facts. For example, when Baoyu was born, he had a piece of jade in his mouth with the words "Don't forget, don't forget, the immortal Heng Chang" written on it, which is absolutely impossible in science. Yuan Fei's Mothering is an artistic design created out of nothing by the author, because there is no such system in history. The author expresses his aesthetic truth and profound emotional truth with the falsehood of the fact that "Yuan Fei is a mother".

A Dream of Red Mansions depicts the ups and downs of monarchical society, bureaucratic aristocratic families, all kinds of life in the world, the joys and sorrows of boys and girls, and sends out thoughts and warnings on social life with its magnificent framework, touching story, vivid characters, ingenious narrative techniques and unparalleled language art. The theme of a dream of red mansions is like this.

How are Daiyu, Baochai and Xiren trapped by "love"?

The story of A Dream of Red Mansions is centered on emotion, expressing the truth of emotion and the subjective intention of "talking about love". Among the artistic features of A Dream of Red Mansions, the most touching is its emotional-centered artistic effect. The "true feelings" of Daiyu, the "infatuation" of Baoyu, the "pure feelings" of Qingwen and the "feelings" of Xiangling and Yuanyang are all very vivid and profound. Facing the tragic life of young and beautiful "Jin Chai", the spring dream of beautiful Grand View Garden, and the unfortunate ending of Baodai's love and Yuchai's marriage, the author issued "The land is high and the sky is high, and it is regrettable that ancient and modern feelings are endless; Looking for an object to get married, it is difficult to pay off the poor debts. " The tragic effect of A Dream of Red Mansions centered on "emotion" can be said to have reached the extreme. A stunning woman with a beautiful face and both talents and looks is just a word of "love", which is hard to love and hard to die.

Lin Daiyu is one of the central figures in A Dream of Red Mansions. The innocence between Bao and Dai, the romance of reading The West Chamber, the sadness of burying flowers, the lingering affection of poems and books, and the tacit understanding of infighting can be called the love treasure of boys and girls. However, in those days, the combination between men and women was not determined by love. Various factors make the marriage of gold and jade better than the alliance of wood and stone, resulting in a sad love song. "A wisp of fragrant soul is scattered with the wind, and it is sad to dream at night." It is difficult to love Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu if they are married or not.

Xue Baochai, a typical lady image, has all the qualities of personality, appearance, speech, manners and knowledge, and has four virtues of virtue, speech, tolerance and work. Although Xue Baochai got married, she didn't get love. "Even in the case of Qi Mei, it is difficult to draw a balance." Baoyu's body and mind are suffering in the face of loveless marriage! I ran away from home without saying goodbye, leaving Xue Baochai alone. Life is worse than death, and it is hard to live.

Xiren loved Baoyu deeply and decided to be partial to her death. But how and where to die? But it put her in a dilemma. In Fu: "If I die here, I will ruin my wife's kindness. I should die at home. " When I got home, I said, "My brother did a good job. If he died in his brother's house, wouldn't it hurt him again! " You will die only if you go through the door (get married): "Who knows that the Chiang family is extremely serious and follows the rules. As soon as they enter the door, all the servant girls call them grandma. At this time, I want to die here, but I am afraid of harming others and living up to my good intentions. " It's really "death is the only thing in history, and sorrow is not the only thing to attack your wife." What a kind and lovely little girl, it's hard to die.
