What saddens Liu most is that the "truth" of the characters in A Dream of Red Mansions has been hurt. Qin Keqing, one of the twelve women in Jinling, is the wife of Jia Rong, the son of Jia Zhen in Ningguo Mansion. What kind of woman is Qin Keqing? Liu quoted from the original Dream of Red Mansions, and in the eyes of Jia Mu: "She is the first proud person among the great-grandchildren." It is clearly a good daughter-in-law recognized by Rong Hening, and an amiable, lovely and respectable good woman. But it was verified by a dream interpretation expert as a bohemian bad woman: having an affair with her father-in-law (Jia Zhen). I watched A Dream of Red Mansions 120 times, but there was no place to write Qin Keqing's ambiguous words with her father-in-law. Literary language and factual judgment often run counter to each other, and cannot be examined by the truth of events and the existence of facts.
