Abstract: University library is the document information management center of the school and an academic institution serving teaching and scientific research. Strengthening the construction of university libraries is an important part of the sustainable development of universities. Based on the perspective of sustainable development, this paper puts forward some suggestions on strengthening the construction of university library from the aspects of management concept, librarian role, collection channels, technology application and service function.

First, the connotation of sustainable development of university libraries
Colleges and universities have three functions: cultivating talents, developing science and technology and serving the society. Libraries also undertake the corresponding tasks of serving teaching, scientific research and society. The basic elements to measure the level of running a university include the concept of running a school, students, teachers and books, which constitute the basic connotation of the university running system and are the organic whole of the sustainable development of the university. Library is an important index to measure the running level of a university. The construction of university library is related to the development of the school, and the development of the library cannot be separated from the orientation of the school. Strengthening the construction of university libraries is an important part of the sustainable development of universities.
The concept of sustainable development emphasizes the development in harmony with society, economy and environment. As an important department of the school, the sustainable development of university library should also be coordinated with the development environment of the school. Emphasizing coordination and sustainable development means that the development of libraries, the development environment and the development goals of schools should form an overall mechanism of mutual adaptation, mutual encouragement and mutual coordination. With the development of society and the deepening of higher education reform, the traditional significance of university libraries is undergoing brand-new changes, and its status and value are becoming more and more important. In the environment of social informatization, digitalization and knowledge globalization, colleges and universities put forward newer and higher requirements for the construction and improvement of libraries. As the knowledge and information resources of teaching and scientific research in colleges and universities, the library is facing both challenges and unprecedented opportunities for development. Therefore, university libraries should do a good job in self-construction, innovate management concepts, change the role of librarians, open up collection channels, use modern technology, improve service functions, promote the improvement of management level, realize the synchronous sustainable development with universities, and fully implement the functions of teaching, educating people, scientific research and serving the society.
Second, based on sustainable development of university library construction strategy
1. Innovative management concept
(1) Innovative collection ideas. The collection of books in the traditional sense refers to the collection of books in the library. Generally speaking, collection refers to spiritual products that contain all kinds of achievements created by people in the process of understanding and transforming the world, and are recorded on a certain carrier with symbols such as words, graphics, audio and video for people to read widely. With the development of information technology, the construction of university libraries has undergone qualitative changes. Therefore, university libraries should innovate the concept of collection. First, broaden the collection channels, constantly enrich the collection resources, and expand the content and types of collection and processing. Second, we should study how to maximize the opening and utilization of library resources, provide accurate and valuable information for readers, and better serve readers.
(2) Innovative service concept. Readers are the service object and purpose of the library. Without readers, even if there is the richest collection of books, it is at most a library or museum. Should a university library be set up? People-oriented? Correctly understand and handle the relationship between collection and utilization, and change from collection-oriented to reader-oriented; Change from traditional literature lending service to diversified information service.
(3) Innovative talent mechanism. University libraries need a large number of dedicated, diligent and skilled librarians to ensure high standards and high quality work. As an important institution for collecting, sorting and transmitting information, the library should gradually open to the society with the upgrading and development of the information industry and practice the social service function of colleges and universities. University libraries should innovate business philosophy, expand the paid service field of information resources, cultivate and develop the information products and service market of libraries, so as to expand and extend the functions of university libraries, realize the enjoyment of resources, improve the utilization rate of resources, actively serve social and local readers, and enhance economic and social benefits.
2. Change the role of librarians
Librarian refers to the staff of the library, and is the manager and organizer of all kinds of work in the library. What if the librarian is given the first social role by history? Bookkeeper? 、?
