How to be an excellent music teacher (thesis)
It is not easy to be a music teacher that children like and have a good music class. Only by constantly summing up experience in actual teaching and learning better teaching methods can the classroom be more successful. Teachers are the organizers and guides of classes, leading children into a broader music world, so being a smart and dedicated teacher can make children like it better. 1. Discipline is the guarantee of the classroom. Five years ago, when I came to my teaching post just after graduating from college, I always felt that it was difficult to control students' discipline in class, because I wanted to be popular with students, and no students liked that kind of fierce teacher, but when you were amiable, students would feel that the teacher was lax and didn't seem to be scolded for talking and fighting. Finally, when I smile, they gradually become arrogant, so that they finally ignore you. I thought it was understandable to reason with students. The purpose of telling them that the teacher is not fierce in class is to hope that they will be conscious, but it backfires. I wonder what kind of teacher students like. As I have concluded, the most successful teacher is the one that students fear and love. When students behave badly in class, they should be severely stopped. You can't smile at a naughty student. He needs to realize the serious consequences of his wrong behavior. In addition, remember to be decisive when dealing with things. If you say no, students will only be more presumptuous in the future For example, if you tell a student that you will be called to the office if you make trouble again, you just talk, and then the student will know that the teacher is just talking. When punishing students, we should use some practical and effective methods, preferably in class. When your method is immediate, give the students a sweet date in time, reason with them and let them know the teacher's good intentions. Many teachers say that classroom discipline must be well managed, which requires hard work. 2. The teaching level of the music teacher is too simple. We have corresponding textbooks for each grade, and the textbooks are naturally aimed at the learning ability of children of different ages. Of course, it is also very scientific, but in the teaching process, I think it is a bit of putting the cart before the horse. Because the school will assess students and teachers every semester, teaching finally becomes learning to sing a few songs to cope with the exam. Finally, some appreciation contents and music activities in the textbook should not be ignored and deleted, and teaching singing has become a sentence-by-sentence teaching. After studying music for six years, it seems that students have only learned a few songs, which I feel quite sad. I often tell my students in class that "it is better to teach people to fish than to teach them to fish", that is to say, you might as well teach them to read music and learn to read music, so that they can sing any songs they meet in the future. In the classroom, some teachers also teach the basic theory of music, but the teaching is general and unsystematic. This should be infiltrated from the first grade of primary school, and it is rigorous. Even if the teacher is changed halfway, the teaching work will continue. On the other hand, many teachers' music theory teaching is very simple. For example, some difficult rhythms, such as syncopation, dotted line or triplet, are only rough. Moreover, I think the theoretical study should be more in-depth, such as the study of some modes, so that students can feel the use of major and minor tones, or some basic chords, such as why composers write music like this, and what kind of emotions can be better expressed by such melodies. I also hope that students will be exposed to the staff in music class. The class I am teaching now is also learning the staff, because the staff is international, especially standardized and more scientific. Teachers should start teaching with the aim of teaching students well and teaching students well, so they should teach more attentively. The content of music class should be richer. I often ask students, do you like music lessons? Many children told me that sometimes I feel that I can't stand singing all the time in music class. Some say that teachers have the same pattern in class every day, and they often teach singing while they are angry. Others say that there is little content in the textbook except singing. When I asked them what kind of class they liked, the naive children gave me the best answer. Some said that they hoped teachers could teach some songs outside textbooks, such as pop songs, and there would be music activities in the classroom. Others said they hoped to have a chance to perform. A child even thinks his favorite teacher is wise. After hearing this, I often ask myself whether I make students feel that the teacher is not wise enough to teach them more knowledge in class, such as explaining the story background of music and the melody artistic conception of songs, so I also hope myself. When I asked the children what kind of music they usually like, their answers shocked me. Some children say they like light music, some children say they like Teresa Teng, some children say they like rock music, some children like September Miracle, and some children like Rainbow Leehom. It turns out that children also have their own music world, but these seem to have nothing to do with music lessons. I'm thinking that music lessons should involve all fields of music. We can talk to children about what rock, blues and punk are, who Richard Clayderman is, or stories about Wang Feng, or listen to American country music, feel the brisk rhythm and watch The Sound of Music. As soon as I say this, the children can't help it. So innocent children are so eager for music, then the music teacher will feel as if there is nothing to teach except singing in class? In today's music class, I told the children a music story about Gao Jianli, an ancient Yan musician, stabbing the king of Qin to death. After I finished, the children couldn't calm down for a long time. They all felt sorry for his death and admired his miserable life. I also feel that the children are so engrossed in my story that it is hard for you to hear any classmates gossiping at this time. Perhaps the management of classroom discipline is not to scold you sharply, but to make students like and willing to listen to you. It is unfair for children to limit music lessons to textbooks. I think children should be allowed to learn and get in touch with any form of music. That kind of class is the real music class. 4. Give children more space. In class, students can often be seen learning to sing songs in textbooks sentence by sentence under the strict guidance of teachers. I always think that music class should be happy, because no one will be depressed when singing, but why do children seem reluctant to sing some boring songs in class? At this time, teachers should think more from the students' point of view and give children some space and opportunities to listen to their ideas. Why can't you sing well? Maybe some students always say something wrong, which makes them lose confidence. Teachers should carefully analyze the score of songs for students, such as how to master the rhythm of attachments or how to play the rhythm of segments. Only by truly finding the root cause can we solve the problem. Maybe there is another reason. When teaching songs, teachers only emphasize that students will sing with good rhythm and accurate intonation, but students don't understand the meaning of lyrics or know nothing about the content of songs, which will inevitably lead to boring singing. I always think that the classroom should be student-centered, and the teacher is just a guide and organizer. If students are indoctrinated under the strict control of teachers, they will become very miserable, like a bound kitten. In fact, they should be birds flying in the blue sky. The children have many ideas that our teacher can't imagine. I remember that several students in the sixth grade learned to sing a song and adapted the lyrics. Of course, the adapted lyrics are funny and cause laughter, but I praise her innovation even more, because any composer is innovative, and the child's talent needs the teacher to give him an open space, instead of shutting up the child's thoughts and just running around with the teacher. Last class, I made a suggestion, that is, I hope that students who have studied musical instruments will carefully prepare a class to explain the musical instrument you have studied, its structure and function, and be able to play a passage and talk about the writing background of the music, so that many children who have studied musical instruments can have a chance to show themselves. Learning a musical instrument is a good thing, but many children lack interest after studying for a long time, which is actually related to their lack of opportunities to show. In fact, every child wants to be appreciated and encouraged to make himself more confident, but after all, every child will not have the opportunity to perform outside, but the music class is a small stage that can be provided conveniently and has a large group of enthusiastic audiences. When children hear that they want to play musical instruments and become primary school teachers, they are both excited and afraid, which can also exercise their courage. Yes, actually, classes are not for teachers, but for children. Give them more opportunities, and you will see that they are different and better. It seems not difficult to be a music teacher, but to be a qualified and excellent music teacher, teachers need to constantly improve their own abilities, including learning music knowledge and improving classroom teaching methods. Children are the future of the motherland, and the important task of quality education in primary schools falls on the shoulders of our music teachers. Only by teaching attentively can children really like your music classroom.
