What is the training goal of international tourism management major?
Training objectives: This major trains high-level compound talents who have the basic knowledge of economic management, master the basic principles, methods and means of modern tourism management, are familiar with tourism policies and regulations and international tourism practices, have strong tourism economic analysis and management capabilities, and can engage in tourism management in tourism administrative departments at all levels and tourism enterprises and institutions.

Training requirements: Students in this major mainly study the basic theory and knowledge of tourism management, receive basic training in tourism management, tourism service and marketing, and have the basic quality and ability to analyze and solve problems.

Graduates of this major should have the following knowledge and ability:

(1) Master the basic theory and knowledge of tourism management;

(2) Master the qualitative and quantitative analysis methods of tourism management research;

(3) Have the basic ability to analyze and solve problems by using tourism management theory;

(four) familiar with the principles, policies and regulations of China's tourism development;

(5) Understand the development of tourism;

(6) Master the basic methods of literature retrieval and data query, and have certain scientific research and practical work ability;

(7) Master a foreign language, and have good corresponding oral communication and applied translation skills;

(8) Have strong computer application ability, and be able to actually handle related tourism business with computers;

(9) Strong communication skills, adaptability, innovation ability and decision-making ability.

Main courses: management, microeconomics, macroeconomics, management information system, statistics, accounting, financial management, marketing, economic law, introduction to tourism, tourism economics, tourism psychology, tourism geography, hotel management principles, regional tourism planning principles, tourism resources and development.

Main practical teaching links: military training, comprehensive inspection tour, hotel scene simulation training, tour guide simulation training, social practice, graduation practice and graduation thesis.

Length of study: the length of study is four years, which can be extended within seven years at the longest.

Minimum credit for graduation: 165 credit.

Graduation regulations: Undergraduate students of this major should meet the requirements of moral education goals and college students' sports qualification standards when they graduate, and should get the minimum total credit 165, including compulsory course 100.5 credit, restricted elective course 32.5 credit, elective course 10 credit and practical teaching 22 credit. In addition, the extra-curricular expansion credits are not less than 5 credits (not included in the minimum total credits).
