I have always felt that since the theory of opening up and invigorating the economy was put forward in the early 1980s, China's economy has developed by leaps and bounds and its gross national product has improved by leaps and bounds under the impetus of the market economy.

However, while the economy is developing at a high speed, the improvement of the overall quality of our people is far behind the pace of economic development, which has caused various abnormal phenomena in today's society. Money worship and worship of foreign things have seriously dragged down the economic development. The exposition of "Eight Honors and Eight Disgraces" put forward by General Secretary Hu correctly grasped the crux of the problems arising from the times, put forward solutions to the problems, clearly distinguished the boundaries between honor and shame, and provided extremely important reference for all citizens to establish a correct socialist concept of honor and disgrace.

These educations are not of great practical significance to us, nor can they clearly guide today's young people, thus resulting in two kinds of extreme people in today's society. After all, people's technology is more advanced than ours, so we should introduce it in order to learn and use it. The other is represented by "Hahan and Hari", who are crazy about everything in these countries and even forget their nationality, which is of course even more undesirable.

In fact, there are many behaviors in today's society that can be called patriotism, such as: doing one's job well is patriotism; Paying more taxes for the country and paying taxes on time is patriotism; Even planting a tree on Arbor Day can be regarded as an act of loving the motherland. It's easier said than done. Nowadays, many people think that people with high academic qualifications have high quality and know more about patriotism, but they are not. I am here to tell you a true story: one of my classmates is studying in the United States now. He works in the post office. His boss is David, a lovely little old man. Most people who come to this post office know him. Sometimes a customer forgets to put a stamp on a letter, and he will post it at his own expense. He is a helpful person and is not obsessed with money. One morning at work, the post office received a postcard, which was sent to a China girl who used to live in David's house, but the girl returned to China last year1February. I don't know why someone suddenly sent this card recently. Originally, this kind of postcard only had to be written "Everyone is gone" and then put back in the mailbox, but David suddenly got angry. Take up so much space in the refrigerator? David thought, this is my house. I like fresh milk. Besides, I only bought two bottles. David said that Zhou Xing, another China girl who lives in his home, said that she couldn't believe the way the girl spoke to David and his wife. This is just one of many things. Later, David and his wife finally couldn't stand it. They asked the girl to leave. The girl said yes, but it takes time to find a house, and David agreed. A few days later, maybe Monday or Tuesday. The girl told David that she wanted to advance her salary, because David usually pays her salary when she goes to work on the last day of the week, which is Saturday. Later, my classmates also learned that the other party who sent the postcard was a debt collection company, and they also wanted to pay the girl another sum of money to apologize. It is conceivable that this girl has had a bad influence on the image of international students in China and even China, and there are many international students like this. Therefore, in order to love the motherland, we should not only improve our academic qualifications, but also improve our comprehensive quality. This is the way everyone should go.

For us young people who have just joined the work, loving the enterprise should be the embodiment of loving the motherland, because only when the enterprise develops can we pay more taxes for the country and promote economic development. I am determined to take "eight honors and eight disgraces" as the motto in the future, start from my own shortcomings, start from small things, start from details, pay attention to every bit of work, take the honor and disgrace of the enterprise as my own honor and disgrace, be honest and trustworthy, be diligent and love the people, and unite to help my colleagues.
