The table of contents does not use a header, and its page numbers use Roman numerals. The odd page header of the text is: graduation design for undergraduates of Jilin University, and the even page header is: Chapter 10 XXX. Its page number is Arabic numerals. When I started typesetting, I found that one of the other changes in the header and footer would change accordingly, so it was difficult to achieve the above requirements. Divide each part of the article into separate chapters, such as table of contents, chapter 1, chapter 2 ... conclusion, bibliography, thanks and appendix.

The method of segmentation is: Insert-Delimiter-Select Next Page-OK. You'd better add chapters when writing a paper. If you have written it now, it doesn't matter if you finally start typesetting. Place the insertion point at the beginning of the new section, for example, separate the first chapter from the second chapter, then place the insertion point at the beginning of the second chapter and insert section break. Generally, there is no obvious change in the document after inserting section break, but if there is a blank page between two sections, you can connect the second chapter with the end of the first chapter, and then insert section break at the end of the first chapter. So all the parts are divided into one part.

Ok, add the page number first. The insertion point is defined in the directory. Insert-Page Number-Select the page number displayed on the home page-Format-Select Roman numerals in the number format-Set the starting page number below-OK. Then define the insertion point for the text, reinsert the page number according to the above steps, and select Arabic numerals as the number format.

Now set the title. The insertion point is defined in the text and the header is not inserted. Baidu once ~ double-click the inserted header, click a book-shaped icon (page setup), switch to the layout tab, select different odd pages and even pages, preview where to apply to this section, and confirm. At the header of odd-numbered pages, enter: graduation design for undergraduates of Jilin University. Navigate to the even page header, find a "Connect to Previous Page" icon in the header and footer toolbar, and click (deselect), which is the key, otherwise you will change it, and other even pages will change accordingly. After that, write your corresponding chapter title on the even page header of each chapter.

This method is troublesome, but it is effective and easy to understand. I personally haven't found a better way to achieve it. If anyone has a better idea, please tell me, haha ~
