How to write an abstract of a paper
Literature review refers to the collection of a large number of data on a subject, a problem or a research topic in a certain field, and the analysis and synthesis of the latest progress, academic viewpoints and suggestions of the subject, problem or research topic, so as to reveal the new trends, new trends, new levels, new principles and new technologies of related issues and find the starting point, foothold and breakthrough for the follow-up research.

John W. Creswell once put forward the essential factor model of literature review. His five-step literature review method is really worth learning and using for reference.

Creswell believes that literature review should consist of five parts: preface, theme 1 (about independent variables), theme 2 (about dependent variables), theme 3 (about independent variables and dependent variables) and summary.

The preface (1) tells readers about several parts involved in literature review, and this paragraph is a statement about the composition of chapters.

(2) Summarize the academic literature on "independent variable or multiple independent variables" proposed by 1. Among several independent variables, only a few small parts are considered or only a few important univariates are involved.

(3) Summary Topic 2: Combining academic literature with "dependent variable or multiple dependent variables". Although there are many dependent variables, each variable only writes a small part or involves only one important dependent variable.

(4) Summarize the academic literature about the relationship between independent variables and dependent variables. This is the most difficult part of our research plan.

This part should be very short, including the research that is closest to the planned research topic. There may be no literature on the research topic, so try to find the part close to the topic, or summarize the research related to the proposed topic on a broader level.

(5) Summarize and emphasize the most important research, grasp the important theme in the review, and point out why more research should be done on this theme.

First, the significance of literature review

Literature reading report, namely "literature review", which is called "investigation", "summary" and "summary" in English, is a comprehensive reflection of the research results in a certain research field on the basis of extensive reading and understanding of the literature in this field. It is generally believed that it is unthinkable for academic papers not to be summarized. It is necessary to distinguish between "literature review" and "background description".

When we choose to study the problem, we need to know the background and context of the problem, such as "the development course of semiconductor industry in China" and "the policies and problems of foreign governments in developing semiconductor industry". These contents belong to "background description" and pay attention to practical problems. Strictly speaking, they are not "literature review".

"Literature review" is the arrangement of academic viewpoints and theoretical methods.

Secondly, literature review is critical (review is "comment"), so we should summarize and comment on the literature with the author's own critical thinking, not just "piling up" academic research in related fields.

The main line of comments should be based on the question, that is, how do other scholars view and solve your questions, and whether their methods and theories are flawed? If other scholars have solved your problem perfectly, there is no need to repeat the research.

Second, the significance and purpose
