Career profile:
The process of human activities is a process of continuous development and progress, and it is also a process of continuous coordination between man and nature. With the development of economy and the continuous improvement of living standards, people are seeking different ways of spiritual comfort and sustenance while pursuing rich material life. In recent years, keeping pets has gradually become one of the ways for people in big cities to seek spiritual comfort and sustenance.
China is rich in pet breed resources and has a large number. Pets are accepted and loved by more and more families and individuals, and pets play a special role as "companions" in people's lives. People and pets get along well, which constitutes a landscape of harmonious social development. At the same time, the health of pets and the prevention and treatment of epidemic diseases have also become the concern of pet owners and all walks of life.
Although animals are the majority of pets, in view of the emotional attachment between pets and people, it is obviously not enough to treat pet diseases with methods aimed at livestock. The treatment of pet diseases, especially the prevention and treatment of pet and human diseases, must be done by professionals. Therefore, the emergence of a new profession-pet doctor has become an inevitable requirement of social development.
At present, the domestic demand for pet doctors is mainly concentrated in economically developed cities and regions, such as Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Zhuhai. According to incomplete statistics, by the end of 2003, there were more than 10000 pet hospitals in cities above the county level in China.
The number of pets raised in Beijing alone is estimated to exceed 6.5438+0 million. With the increasing demand of residents for pets year by year, the number of pets will increase geometrically, which brings opportunities for the development of pet diagnosis and treatment. Judging from the development and trend of the whole industry, the social demand of pet doctors is bound to show an increasing trend.
At present, there is no good plan for the construction of pet medical practitioners in China, and the number of employees is obviously insufficient, and the professional ability of employees needs to be further improved. After the country has clearly established pet doctors as a profession, it will further standardize this profession through professional qualification certification, improve the professional quality of employees, establish a high-quality diagnosis and treatment team, and promote the healthy development of China's pet diagnosis and treatment industry.
With the development of the times, people's life content and lifestyle are more colorful, and the pet industry will further rise and develop rapidly in China. The establishment and standardization of the new profession of pet doctor will also have positive significance for promoting the construction of a comprehensive and harmonious society in China.
