What's the difference between narrative and argumentative?
First, different styles.

1, narrative

A style that focuses on remembering people, narrating, describing scenery and objects, and writing about characters experience and the development and changes of things.

2. Explanatory text

Explanatory writing is an article genre with explanation as its main expression. It scientifically explains physical things, objective things or abstract things, so that people can have a scientific understanding of the shape, structure, nature, types, causes, functions, relationships or concepts, characteristics, sources, evolution, similarities and differences of things, and thus obtain relevant knowledge.

3. Argumentative essay

Argumentative writing, also called argumentative writing, is a style of analyzing things, discussing things, expressing opinions and putting forward opinions. By presenting facts, reasoning and distinguishing right from wrong, the author can determine whether his point of view is right or wrong, and establish or deny a proposition. Argumentative writing should have clear thinking, sufficient arguments, concise language, reasonable arguments and strict logic.

Second, the classification is different.

1, narrative

Five expressions:

Narration is the art of expressing the process of time.

Description: It is the art of showing the appearance of space.

Discussion: It is the art of reasoning about opinions.

Lyric: it is the art of expressing and pouring out.

Description: It is an art of informing combining science with practicality.

2. Explanatory text

Examples, analogies, definitions, charts, explanations, comparisons, imitations, quotations, categories, numbers, quotations.

3. Argumentative essay

Establish a topic

1) definition: an article genre that takes argumentation as the main expression and directly expresses its own views and opinions by putting facts and reasoning.

2) Requirements: ① Have a correct view of the issues discussed; ② Use sufficient convincing arguments; ③ Be reasonable and logical.

Refute a paper

1) definition: debate is to refute the other side's point of view and explain your own point of view at the same time.

2) Ways: ① Propose arguments; 2 prove the argument; ③ Summarize the argument.

3) The combination of refuting topics: first point out the essence of the other party's mistakes, then refute the wrong arguments that have been pointed out, and at the same time or after refuting, put forward your own correct views to demonstrate.

Third, the writing is different.

1, narrative

Time, place, people, events, main process, reflected truth (theme), my epiphany, experience, feelings, profile description and the use of parallelism to sublimate the theme.

These are all equally important. Without one of them, it is not narrative. Just like a person without heart, liver and lungs, it is not a complete narrative.

2. Explanatory text

Let's talk about it in combination with expressions.

Narration and description make the description more specific; Lyricism and discussion make the explanation more emotional. Then from this point of view, the writing of the explanatory text is analyzed, and the standard format of the answer is as follows:

In this paper, a variety of expressions are used comprehensively, besides explanation, there are also … (selected from "narrative, description, lyric and discussion" according to the content), such as … (specific examples), that is, the use of … (expression) makes the explanation more specific/full of emotion.

3. Argumentative essay

We can start with imitation. Take an article as an example. The most typical is Wu Han's "Talking about the Backbone":

1) Introduction: At the beginning, we in China have backbone.

Then use Mencius' words to explain the argument that "wealth can't be lewd, poverty can't be moved, and power can't be bent".

2) This part: Prove the argument with three examples: Wen Tianxiang is rich and cannot be lewd; The poverty of the poor who do not eat can not be moved, and the strength of Wen Yiduo can not be bent.

3) Conclusion: Explain the backbone of the proletariat today and issue a call.
