What is the best temperature and humidity for strawberry greenhouse?
Strawberries have strong adaptability to temperature. Roots began to move at 2℃, and buds began to germinate above 5℃. The optimum growth temperature of roots is 15℃-20℃, and that of plants is 20℃-25℃. The suitable temperature for flower bud differentiation is 5℃-25℃, and flower bud differentiation cannot be carried out below 5℃ or above 25℃. The flowering temperature is 20℃-25℃, which is beneficial to pollen germination, and 13.8℃-20.6℃ is beneficial to anther cracking. At the initial stage of fruit expansion, it is 25℃-28℃ during the day, 8℃- 10℃ at night, 22℃-25℃ during the day and 5℃-8℃ at night. When the temperature is lower than 5℃, the strawberry will go into dormancy, and when the temperature is higher than 30℃, the normal growth will be affected. Because strawberry has shallow roots, small plants, large leaves and strong transpiration, it requires high water content. From bud stage to flowering stage, the soil water content should be sufficient, the field water capacity should be 70%, and the fruit expansion stage should be kept at about 80%. The water content should be properly controlled during flower bud differentiation stage to prevent excessive growth.
